There drainage from the sprinklers at Kelley Park (midwood) is terrible. What can I do?

2 ish years ago they completely re made the park. It’s awesome. But they got something wrong with the elevation on the spray area.

Instead of going to the sprinkler area a pool of water runs maybe 100+ feet through the play area.

The water stays on 24/7 so there is water on these areas all the time. I’m sure it’s rotting the area under the play area.

It’s slippery with leaves and stuff.

I hate that they might need to close the park to fix it and if it is an elevation thing that’s going to mean pulling up the ground bc my kids love the park.

But this is terrible.

Also if anyone has been here they have these weird green square tiles for playing surface and it seems like each one has a different hardness too it these days. I assume someone is going to twist an ankle on them one day.

More housing coming to bay ridge!

This is great to see the effects from the charter changes last year turning into more housing

>9305 Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. It’s in a good neighborhood and is a 40,000-square-foot site occupied by a single-story Staples with an expiring lease.

>That revision grants an easier, faster approval process in community districts ranked in the bottom 12 for housing production. The “dirty dozen” list will come out in the fall, and Bay Ridge is certain to be on it. Community District 10’s population grew 9.2 percent from 2010 to 2020, but its housing supply increased just 1 percent from 2010 to 2024.
