Why is racewalking still a thing?
Does anyone, including the participants, actually enjoy it? At the recent Commonwealth Games, they could only find 5 entrants for the men's 10k, and didn't even hold a women's that I'm aware of.
I find it excruciatingly irritating that there is an event where the whole point is to nearly cheat a bit better than your fellow near-cheaters.
End of RHLSTP and graver health concerns?
The latest promo bits that Richard Herring has recorded after RHLSTP strongly suggests that the three or four shows booked for after Edinburgh will probably be the last ones. And he separately described his health prognosis as "not good".
Has he said anything more concrete anywhere?
Edit: Relistened to it. The poor prognosis is related to his dog, Wolfe, not him. Apologies for the confusion. The RHLSTP stuff still stands, though.
Edit 2: Added "Herring". Often forget that this sub is more US than UK.

theguardian.comBnB owners and hotel housekeeping managers... Where do you get your bodywash?
Every time I get bodywash from a hotel or BnB, it always smells much nicer than anything I can find in retail. Please provide recommendations for where you get your commercial toiletries.
You can't lie to your smart watch.
Blue is my weekly average, resting heartrate (the daily minimum when I'm fast asleep) since September last year. Low 70s most weeks. Went into rehab and got sober early June. Since then, my resting heart rate has been low 50s, into the 40s.
The spike in my high average is the result of regular exercise since I chose sobriety.
My body basically lived in panic mode, even when I was fast asleep. No wonder I was so exhausted every morning.
