To understand more how much money the Premier League brings on, a relegated team from the Premier League this year made more prize money than the champions of a top European League.

To understand more how much money the Premier League brings on, a relegated team from the Premier League this year made more prize money than the champions of a top European League.

Burnley earned MORE from finishing 19th and getting relegated from the Premier League than Barcelona earned for WINNING La Liga this season.

🔸 Burnley are set to receive around €160M through Premier League TV revenue and parachute payments after relegation.

🔸 Barcelona are expected to earn around €155M from winning La Liga and domestic TV distributions.

What the table could have been

Southampton admitted to cheating as early as their Oxford United match in December 2025. Though they only admitted to only one more before being caught red-handed, common sense tells me that is a lie. This is what the table would look like if every match since the December match got turned into an automatic forfeit:

World Cup Matches for Wrexham Players

With Libby and Dom confirmed for their squads, here are the times for the matches where they could appear in the World Cup this June. And if those match times seem ridiculously late... I agree, I triple checked them, basically if you aren't a 'big' football nation the time sucks. I'm sure any Scotland supporters would have words about that and no argument, this is just how they've set it out.

  • June 13 9p EST WC Haiti v Scotland (Dom Hyam)
  • June 15 9p EST Iran v New Zealand (Libby Cacace)
  • June 19 6p EST WC Scotland v Morocco(Dom Hyam)
  • June 21 9p EST New Zealand v Egypt (Libby Cacace)
  • June 24 6p EST WC Scotland v Brazil (Dom Hyam)
  • June 26 11p EST New Zealand v Belgium (Libby Cacace)

First time in club history the women are in European competition — the Red Horde did a deep dive on how women's European qualifying actually works

Turns out "qualifying for Europe" is a lot more complicated than just showing up.

The draw is June 18th — if you want to know what you're actually watching for, the Red Horde (Shaun) put together a deep dive on what Wrexham women are walking into this summer. Coefficients, seeding, Welsh history in the competition, money, hosting — all of it. Best explainer I've seen.

What should be the aim for 26/27?

I feel like Play-Offs, especially after the expansion, should be the baseline.

Wrexham are probably going to have the largest player bill this upcoming season out of the non-PL-relegated teams.

Obviously 3rd/4th saves the boys that extra match.

Or, just maybe, can we really stick it to Wolves, Burnley and Ham/Spurs and be right in the mix of Automatic next year.

Realistically, just that one place better than this season would be great, once again the highest position ever for the club, but could we technically still be on for Wrexham being a Premier League side for the first time ever in 2027?

We were the only club without Premier league experience?

Just watched the opening episode to welcome to Wrexham for the current season last night… I didn’t know we were the only championship club that had not had Premier league experience prior. That’s a pretty important statement I think given how well we did this season. To me that makes me feel like this season was even more of an accomplishment for how close we made it to playoffs. I hope we can build upon this past season and step it up even more next year.
