Found this one in the "Königsforst" (= Kings Forest) in Bensberg, Germany.

There was a QR Code nearby:

This might be a unsecure connection, so here a (bad) translation:

History (summarized):

Inscription:

1636 the 1st of december Dietrich Rütger the junger zu Drolshag[en] was murderd here

Dietrich Rütger was the second son of Dietrich Rütger. He was trying to do Family Business when he was murderd.

The street he was using was one of the most important routes of the Region (until), connecting the "oberbergische Land" with the City of cologne.

Rütger wasnt nobility but his Family was political important since his father was mayor in Drolshagen.

Its not clear, who killed Rütger. Since it was the 30-years-war-era, it might have been some soilders or mercenarys. The army of the swedish general Baudissin was around the area.

Also, it could have been some highwaymen of which there were plenty, for example the pitheuer and Buschknebler.

They were kown for torture and murder.

Whoever it was, his death was propably not easy.

I think a gravelbike would be the right choice for me. What do you recommend?

I Ride a lot but not "for fun" but to get to a Point. What do you recommend?
