i have been advertising as a literary writer looking to collaborate on a dark story with someone, and have mentioned that i’m willing to write a female character (usually my ads state clearly i prefer writing men.) the amount of “writing samples” that are fired off without a care in the world that are literal rape and kidnap scenes are absolutely staggering! some without a trigger warning!
does dark story = noncon? umm, not necessarily!
luckily, i am not triggered by this content, (i just think to myself “wow, what a big horny dork!”) but a lot of women are, so i ask again: what the fuck is you doing.
is this what men think we mean when we say we want to write dark stories? that we’re just out here wanting to write rape fantasies? are a lot of men out there just erpers cosplaying as writers?
