Hello Reddit. I am asking because today I went out with a family member who said a cashier seemed into me. They said this because they seem flustered, they engaged in conversation first with me about my shirt, and they were so "distracted" by me they almost gave us the wrong change.

I'm almost 100% certain they were just being nice, but if so, I don't really have enough self-esteem to care. But I am still curious so maybe one day in the future I can notice it. Thanks for any advice, hope this isn't a dumb question

I hope this isn't dumb. I see a lot of posts saying an asteroid could kill us anyway, or a wandering black hole, etc etc. But these feel like things we could predict at least. Is there anything that could happen without any given warning and just wipe us out?
