Finally figured out the Nebula cancel subscription process, sharing in case it helps someone else
So I spent some time trying to cancel my Nebula subscription last week (the astrology one), so I figured I'd write this up since I know a bunch of people search 'how to cancel nebula subscription' and get stuck.
Quick context: I loved the app for a few months, but I have other priorities now and I wasn't opening it enough to justify the cost anymore. Genuinely no complaints about Nebula itself - good app, just wasn't using it.
How I did it:
Inside the app, there's a "how to cancel subscription" section - but it doesn't let you cancel right there, it redirects you to a web page instead.
On that web page, I used the email I originally registered with, clicked "Forgot password," reset it, and that got me into the web version of my account. From there, you can manage your plan and unsubscribe directly.
If you originally subscribed through the App Store or Google Play instead of site, this web method probably won't apply to you - you'd want to check your phone's subscription settings instead, since that's where the billing for the Nebula subscription lives in that case.
A few things I wish I'd known beforehand:
- If you're still within a free trial or intro period, cancel Nebula subscription at least 24 hours before it ends - I wouldn't cut it close
- I got a confirmation message saying it went through, but I screenshotted it anyway just to have proof on hand
- Hope this saves someone the digging I had to do. If anyone canceled a different way (like through support chat), drop it below - curious if that's faster
