So per Toyota rav4 configurations, you can see that all the trims have a tow rating of 3500 lbs, except for the base LE which is only rated for 1750 lbs. I tried to search to see what is the reason for this. Aside from calling the dealer (which I doubt will have a real answer), does anyone know why all other trims would have almost double the tow rating? Is there any structural difference in the frames?
