Dance Training Programs/Instructors for Adults?

Hi all! As a kid, I trained in a classical dance form and to date it’s the only activity I love. I want to improve my technique but it feels impossible to figure out how to do this. I didn’t take ballet/jazz/etc as a kid, but I know what it takes to train. Is it possible for me to get some consistent and rigorous training? I don’t know why it’s so hard to find this. I’ve tried just about every studio out there and everything is drop-in. That’s great - but I want something more - workshops, progressive classes where you build on prior instruction. I specifically want to get the conditioning and power needed for hip-hop. I have videoed myself in classes before and I look AWFUL - I want actual feedback and instruction on how to create moves with power, look fluid, be loose. I know this means lots and lots of practice, which I’d love to do! But I am totally lost where to find this.

Do people have recommendations for studios or specific teachers where I could help build a program for myself? Is some kind of ballet training a good idea? It’s the only form of dance that seems to have some progression out there, classes-wise. I’d much rather focus on getting to hip-hop first but idk.

I’m in my 40s, so I realize I’m an old bag and many of the kiddo training programs aren’t for me. But I have to feel there’s still a way for me to get to the goal I want. Help me, community!
