Non-broken header panel (93-95), matching grill and an ok bumper cover to replace what I ruined when I hit a deer last year. Due to be installed this weekend.
Also found the wether stripping that goes ontop of the rad support/latch mount and a full size spare tire cover in the correct trim color.
Had to move my zj the other day, it’s definitely a wip as the dash is 1/3 apart (no trim anywhere on it, planning to do an ac evaporator soon as well as a radio so why have it on esp if it’s gonna sit) thankfully. Fired it up and let it take 20-ish seconds to build oil and trans fluid pressure before I went to move it, noticed the Vic flickering and figured like most of my current issues the connector pins were corroded and making flakey contact. Imagine my surprise when it starts dumping smoke and it dies. Luckily had a Phillips screwdriver in the center console and got it yanked in under 30 seconds (again because the trim is off already). Also found my parasitic draw that would kill the battery in 4 days, it was the Vic as well.
My brothers Vic in his 97 died the same way with lots of smoke.
My question is, is the Vic dying by fire a common occurrence? I have a spare from another zj (same year) that I’ll probably open and check solder joints on before it goes in.
