I'm excited about this evening event (choir,choir,choir singing hip songs, Miss Emily, Kasador...) but I'm worried it will have 20,000 people in the square. Are any of you attending? What should I expect?
Almost all the maple trees in Strathcona Park are losing their leaves. I think they are mostly Norway maples, though I'm not 100% sure of that. I know that trees lose leaves early when stressed due to heat or drought, but we've had a wet July and everything is still green.
So: does anyone know what is causing this? A disease or pest? Are the trees in danger? Is there anything we should do? Thanks for amateur/professional arborist help!
