Merhaba. I've heard Izmir is a good place to get clothes. I'm on a long term trip and looking to donate my heavier clothes and buy some shorts and shirts as it gets warmer. Usually I go to places like uniqlo or muji for reference, but I'm ok with weirder stuff too (clothing with birds/animals on it is a huge plus). Please let me know any recommendations! Also if there is a good donation place let me know. Teşekkürler!
I may have been in a little over my head this one. AI (I know) said I could just walk from village to village and say "Merhaba, kalacak yer var mı?" and find places to stay that aren't ridiculously expensive. Is this true? I'm in Eskisehir now trying to learn basic Turkish as fast as I can but I really don't speak it. Not only do I not want to end up homeless (I don't have camping gear) I also don't want to be rude if this is not a normal thing to do. Any general advice you have would be great, I'm just trying to hike around for 3/4 days before I head to Izmir. I was originally going to stay in this Midas Han hotel and get the low down there but 4k Lira for a night is out of my budget. My main goal is just walking in nature and seeing some of my favorite birds (particularly Cinerous vultures). Teşekkürler!
