COPD Worries
My husband (77) 5’8” 180 lbs. was diagnosed with COPD a couple of years ago. He’s had all the pulmonary testing and scans, takes Trelegy and has a rescue inhaler.
In the last 8 months he’s really slowed down. Lately he’s said his legs don’t work. When I question him if they hurt he says no. But he needs to use the grocery cart when we shop. Not a lot of energy. He is constantly criticizing everything I do or say. It seems he’s angry at himself and taking it out on me. I’m worried he could be having other neurological problems, could be the medication, or need oxygen.
He’s very stubborn, and won’t go to another pulmonologist (dr. Is opening a new practice). He didn’t tell his internist he saw recently.
My question: is this a part of the COPd? Has any one else gone through this? I’m worried.
