v3.5.0 is rolling out, and it's a big one: Axon Player is now officially on iPhone and iPad. And as promised in the last update, Jellyfin support is here.

v3.5.0 — What's new

📱 Now on iPhone & iPad — The same player, built for iOS, now on the App Store.

🖥️ Bring your own media server — Add your Jellyfin server alongside your IPTV playlists — movies, series, Live TV with a full guide, subtitles. Where you left off syncs both ways.

🎵 A new Media tab — Music with a mini player, photos, and your books — EPUB and PDF readers built in.

✏️ Make the channel list yours — Rename any channel, give it a custom logo, rename categories. Your edits survive a full resync — the provider can't rename them back.

📡 No EPG data on a channel? — In the TV Guide, press Menu on the remote (or long-press on a phone) and point it at any guide that does have the data.

🎮 Left & right, your way — Assign the D-pad's left and right buttons in the live player to whatever you reach for most — channel list, categories, folders, guide, radio, scores, search or controls. One press instead of three.

👁️‍🗨️ Private playlists — A playlist that appears only on the devices you approve, with your account password as the key.

🔒 A PIN on any playlist — Four digits before it opens — and it stays out of Continue Watching, notifications and kids profiles.

Fixes: Merged playlists got the most attention — channels that wouldn't play, one provider's channel answering for another's, favourites and folders mixing the two up. Plus sync reliability and a lot of smaller improvements throughout.

Two updates to catch you up on. v3.4.0 rolled out and v3.4.1 is right behind it.

v3.4.0 — What's new

🔔 Notification Center — Playlist expiry warnings, content digests after sync, recording results, download alerts, and team announcements all in one place.

⚙️ Player Settings inside Live TV — Zoom, aspect ratio, clock, background audio, volume boost, surround audio, speed test, DNS, skip duration. Change any of it mid-stream without leaving your channel.

▶️ Continue Watching — Your last channel, movie, and series greet you on launch. One press and you're back where you left off.

🔄 Background playlist updates — No more waiting screen. Open the app instantly while content refreshes, with a progress ring around your avatar.

📺 Startup channel — Open the app straight into a channel you choose. Settings → When the app opens → A specific channel, then long-press any channel → Set as startup.

🖤 AMOLED black theme — True black for OLED screens.

📋 Cleaner playlists — Calmer cards, status dots, and expiry warnings only when they actually matter. Plus an onboarding tour.

📡 TV Guide now downloads in the background without blocking.

⬇️ Optional updates — A small update button appears in the app and you install whenever you want. Only critical updates stay required. TV sticks and boxes can now update themselves.

📱 Phone UI refresh — Redesigned movie details, fresh Movies home screen, improved Live TV player with Favourites, Folder, and Kids icons.

Fixes: Categories showing only a fraction of their content, movies and series not playing from the Recommended row, double-tap seek and 2× speed while controls are visible, plus smoother launch and general performance polish.

v3.4.1 — Channel info redesign

The old boxed banner is gone. A cinematic info bar now leads with the programme title, plus a live progress bar, description, and what's on next. Same design whether you press OK or change channels.

Fixes from your reports:

• Favoriting a channel no longer throws you back to the top of the list
• Channel up/down now follows the list you opened from, so your favorites stay your favorites
• The player menu highlights the channel you're actually on (large categories no longer get cut off)
• Backing out to the guide lands on what you're watching, not where you started
• Programme descriptions now show in the info panel, and the banner stays up long enough to actually read it

Polish: New favorite and folder animations, plus consistent notifications across the whole app.

Another big update just dropped. Here's everything new:

⭐ Favourites, everywhere — Heart any channel, movie, or series from anywhere — player, lists, details pages. Dedicated Favourites view on every tab plus a Favourites sidebar inside the live player with full EPG.

📂 Folders upgraded — Browse folders from any tab and inside the player. Pick a folder and its channels open in a full sidebar with now/next EPG.

📺 Scheduled Recordings — Record instantly, record the current program (auto-stops when it ends), or schedule for later. Schedule from the TV Guide, by exact time, or by delay. Get notified 2 minutes before. Scheduled programs show a red dot in the guide.

🔍 Program info while browsing — Scroll through channels during playback and instantly see what's playing on each channel before you switch.

🎨 Theme Colors — Pick your accent color from 8 presets. Plus new avatars.

📺 TV Guide rework — New category bar with favourites and folders inside the guide. Support for multiple EPG sources per playlist — add extra EPG URLs and they merge automatically.

📺 Multi-Screen redesign — New control dock, folders support, and fullscreen mode with quick-swap strip.

🕐 Player clock — Optional on-screen clock with customizable position, size, and color.

🔥 Most Watched — The old Featured row now shows channels based on what you actually watch.

⚙️ New Settings options:

• Choose TV keyboard (app or system with voice typing)
• Toggle background audio on/off
• Open channels directly in fullscreen (skip preview)

⏩ Seek bar upgrades — See how much video is loaded ahead. Short rewinds are now instant.

The update is finally here. We've been working on this for the past 2 months and it's the biggest update since launch. Completely redesigned the app from the ground up. Here's a walkthrough video showing everything in action.

So what's actually changed? A lot. Here's the rundown:

Design
The entire app got a visual overhaul — every screen, every menu, every player. Cleaner, more modern, and way more polished than before.

Full M3U Support
M3U and M3U8 playlists now work properly. If you had issues with M3U before, try again — it's been completely reworked.

Search
You can now search across everything — Live TV channels, Movies, Series, TV Guide programs, and even actors. Tap on any actor and see all their content available in your playlist.

Radio Mode
Switch any live channel to audio-only mode with a beautiful wallpaper and clock on screen. Perfect for just listening.

Background Sync
Playlist sync and EPG refresh can now run in the background. No more staring at the sync screen every time you open the app.

Featured Channels
Now works automatically based on what you watch most. Or add channels manually if you prefer.

Folders Upgrade
You can now assign folders to a specific type — Live TV, Movies, or Series. No more overlap between sections.

Studio Mode
Completely redesigned how you manage channels and categories. The old way of hiding and reordering one by one is gone. With Studio, you can select multiple channels at once, bulk hide, reorder, and organize everything smoothly. Managing large playlists is finally not a headache.

DNS Settings
Connect through Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, or AdGuard directly from the app.

Backup URLs
Add a secondary URL to any playlist. If the main one fails, the app switches to the backup automatically.

Downloads & Recordings Storage
Choose where to save — internal storage or external USB device.
