I know it's not real life but what's something unrealistic in the show/other soaps that bothers you?

Mines got to be how people will full on try and kill eachother to then either end up being engaged to a close family member of theirs or become best friends. Stacey nearly killing Phil only for him and Kat to get together only a couple years later for example(this would not happen in real life)

How each family complains about never having money only to then have drinks and food in an East End pub in London or going on holiday for a 'break'

People having every single person on the square in their contacts(Since when have Linda and Ian been close)

I'm rewatching it on BBC IPlayer and it's quite bad ngl. The whole baby swap storyline, the complete butchering of Ronnie's character, Kat's affairs, Tyler and Anthony are just pure cringe, Jean was annoying too, the whole Lauren and Joey thing(cousins btw), Tanya and Max, the guy who played Ben. It's just rubbish lol. I feel like it was more of a year for the 'teens' but that's what ruined it imo.

This is a bit of a random post but I'm rewatching old episodes from 2010-2015 on bbciplayer and man Alfie and Kat's relationship is so overrated by viewers imo. For one I can't stand Alfie which is weird because I used to think he was a decent character when he first came into the show in the early 2000s. But like Kat treated him so badly from 2010-2015. In just those 5 years she cheated on him 3 times repeatedly(derek affair went on for months) and he didn't even care? like yeah ok I get it he loves her but he was just a walking doormat for Kat imo. Yeah ok he broke up with her in 2012 during Christmas but he was chasing HER not even a year later on his wedding day to Roxy, as much as I hated Roxy and Alfie's relationship, the fact that it made it seem like Roxy was the bad guy for wanting revenge is something else. Like even now yeah they have the chemistry but it just seems like she could get off with whoever and he'd be like it's fine, it's just toxic to me. I'm not saying their relationship is the worst in the show but it's definitely overrated by viewers. Also not to mention she cheated on him with some Russian guy in 2018 and he slept with Haley and he full on said she deserved to be raped by Harry, like he's a full blown physcopath who is obsessed with Kat.
