Dilly Donka’s Candyshop

I'm building a shell for a candy-factory-inspired Fourth Wall ride in my fantasy village. The main building is a donut shop, with Latte Love and Gelato Bros out front. From there, guests can peek into the mill, where different cakes are being prepared. The queue leads into the workshop, where a single pull of a lever dusts the cakes with sugar and, for some reason, bubbles.

Friendly reminder to not try to eat any, though: they're just for show.

Is there any way to turn up the volume on a flat ride?

I am trying to complete my Fourth Wall flat ride but the music is drowned out by the sounds of the machine. Any way to turn up the volume?

Eclipse, a Monteleone shell

Inspired by the recent solar eclipse, and wanting to add something next to my Sunny Lake, I built a shell for the Monteleone.

It’s got a very happy central Sun, of course equipped with official ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses. Riders are surrounded by murals where glowy sunglasses will go up and down during the ride and it all ends naturally in total darkness when the guests will experience the eclipse for themselves.

During the ride you can ponder the question whether or not it makes sense that the sun wears protection against his own rays.

Anyway, it’s on the workshop if you like: 43WHC6MTH

Next next dlc ideas

So now that we know that Frontier is willing to revisit old DLC and give us a little something extra, what might we hope for in the future?

PC1 Adventure pack, combined with Prehistoric theming/Dinosaurs
PC1 Vintage pack, combined with more circus stuff, a show venue for Cirque du Soleil/acrobatic shows
PC1 Spooky pack, combined with ?? Feels like that one is quite flashed out already next to the sorcery pack
PC1 Worlds Fair pack, combined with - I don’t care, I just want professor Wurst back. Or maybe some assets for a It’s a Small world kind of dark ride.

I’m just thinking out loud, wondering what you think.

Recycled assets from PC1 Studios?

I was looking again at the last update video and I noticed that a lot of assets in the preview look similar to the ones in the PC 1 studios DLC. You can find the desk with the mouse and double screens in the video as well as the smaller container with the six drawers and the directors chair.

I don’t know what that means, but I’m hopeful this might be the first of “updated PC1 dlcs”, where they port the assets from previous DLCs and add a little extra. They already ported the base game themes…

What do you think?

Park Sterrendaal opens a gift shop

When Park Sterrendaal’s popularity outgrew the old manor, a new, larger entrance building went up alongside it — freeing the manor itself to become the gift shop. Visitors expecting intergalactic gadgets or alien plushies in the star-themed park are instead greeted by an aisle of Viking toys and puzzles. You can’t have it all 🤷🏻‍♂️

Park Sterrendaal

When city astronomer Vincent Sparrendaal inherited the neglected estate, his first instinct was to sell. But on his very first night on the grounds, far from the city’s glow, the sky above him came alive with more stars than he had ever seen.

That night he decided not to sell, but to stay and give the estate a new name: Sterrendaal. He built a small wooden stage on the grounds and began giving star shows, guiding small groups through the night sky above his own back garden. Word spread quickly, and soon strangers were arriving at his gate, eager to see what he saw.

It was the humble beginning of what would one day become a thriving astronomy-themed theme park. The stars, it turned out, had big plans for Park Sterrendaal.

Park Sterrendaal is my current project inspired by the place I got married, Buitenplaats Sparrendaal. I hope you like it!

Test Pilots

Oh no, it seems our test dummies have caused quite the situation at the training facility! But don’t worry: for all our brave aspiring astronauts, the Cosmodrome is still open. In fact, it looks like you might just be our next Test Pilots…

Located at Park Sterrendaal, where a former industrial site has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind theme park experience.

Parade dimensions?

Does anyone know the dimensions of the floats? I want to create a parade in my park but I’m scared my Main Street might be to narrow…
