1 Lap of Rainbow Road 🌈 🚀 (last video I promise)

Last video I'll post from my new park Electric Avenue. This is the ride that started the whole thing and because I didn't realise there was a limit on pieces for blueprints I ended making the mini park.

The track took forever and drove me to the edge of insanity some days but happy with the finished work. Hope you enjoy and I promise to stop jamming up the reddit feed now!

Great source of free sound effects and ambiences for your park!

I hope this kind of post doesn't break any rules, but if you're struggling to find reliable and high quality sound effects for your park, I'd highly recommend BBC's official sound effects library. They have literally 10s of thousands of high quality audio files completely free for personal use that you can download in one click without signing up to anything. It's so useful for really making an area come to life, don't forget about audio in your parks :)

Random question out of curiosity - in terms of the special effects in game (smoke, sparks, bubbles, etc.), what do you most frequently use, which ones do you miss most from PC1 that we don’t currently have and any ideas for new special effects you’d find useful?

My Final Fantasy VII Gold Saucer Park for Planet Coaster 1 on the PS5!

Hayo, I’m RoughStough and welcome to my amusement park I made in PlanCo 1 for the PS5 based off of Gold Saucer and the surrounding area from the original Final Fantasy VII. This is my first venture into playing and creating within any roller coaster or amusement park type simulation game and my first park I created and finished within Planet Coaster.

Trailer: https://youtu.be/r4rG7WyT8t8?si=WPpV8cGsUUt3-7Kc

*Look up “Gold Saucer” on the PS5 PlanCo 1 Frontier Workshop and also read the bottom text here to see recommended seating to use for each ride within the park if you end up downloading it on the workshop!*

-Come visit Gold Saucer!
-Follow the train tracks from the Corel Number 27 Reactor, surrounding Mount Corel and cave systems within, and beyond!
-Visit the dilapidated remnants of North Corel and gaze up upon the Gold beacon of affluence and “progress” from below!
-Ride the gondola up to Station Square and pick which saucer to visit from there!
-*OR* walk through the Gold Saucer area desert and make your way up the park structure from Corel Prison! But be careful of the bandits on the prison grounds and be wary of the broken elevator inside the park structure!
-Rocket along on the Shooting Coaster at Speed Square!
-Visit the cafeteria hub based on another great FFVII/Gaia location!
-See monsters in waiting as you make your way to attempt to battle Proud Clod in the Battle Square arena secret battle!
-Blast through the arcade trio of games deep within Wonder Square!
-Race chocobos along the outskirts of the saucers and see the “holographic” sights of Chocobo Square racing!
-Come visit Ghost Square during the witching hours to witness the nightmares that await you at the Picman Hotel!
-Take part in the new play production of Pricilla’s Pirates on the Gold Stage of Event Square! Make sure to look at the world map stage props while you’re there!
-Although closed to the broader public, make sure to still mime/mimic the gondola ride date night as you follow 21 stars in the sky starting and ending from within Round Square! Don’t forget the fireworks show and cameras attached to the display sequence hidden at the end!
-Find access to Dio’s Buggy around the back of Gold Saucer and explore bandit dens, Dyne’s turf, and the many other perils and sights within the desert surrounding Gold Saucer!
-Find all 8 Save Points throughout the park for hidden FFVII Easter eggs!
-Explore all corners of the park for even more hidden Easter eggs and tons of details, including the various areas that the different rides pass through (Many rides were designed to just show glimpses on purpose!)!
-Best times to visit: *11:00*, 17:50, and 00:00!

I began designing and making this park due to my love of Final Fantasy VII and was led to PlanCo in general due to reading some forums that recommended playing games such as this as a means to help me cope with some trauma from the last several years. Just like more simple games such as Tetris and Sudoku I was hoping messing around in Planet Coaster would bolster positive brain chemistry and give me some catharsis through building. It did that for me plus a whole lot more. What I ended up finding was a rich community of creatives building wildly magical, artistic, and impressive parks, and searching further sent me along a couple years worth of YouTube spirals and into a glorious world that was new, shiny, and magnificent to me.

I was inspired by numerous creators such as Syhlex, SilverPunker and many more, and while I had already begun designing this park when I came across SilverPunker’s Final Fantasy VII PlanCo 1 park, seeing it gave me even more inspiration on how amazing a park in this world could be. However, my biggest inspiration and influence into delving as far into PlanCo as I have is by far, the content creator and spotlighter, Iron Matty. I have probably seen most if not near all of his Planet Coaster spotlights. So this park is dedicated to Iron Matty as this probably wouldn’t be here if not for him. Plus, he says FFVII is his favorite game of all time, so this one’s for you Matty!

I’ve spent near 2500 hours on and off these past couple of years playing Planet Coaster on my PS5. And yes, I know that I am late to the party as Planet Coaster 2 is more than a year old now and not too many people are probably interested in content from the first game anymore, but I was so far into it when PlanCo 2 was announced that I knew I had to complete it for at least my own sake. I even postponed uploading it for the past 9 months after finishing it due to life hardships, but convinced myself to upload it even though people are focused on Planet Coaster 2 now. Hopefully I can convince someone to spotlight it, but hopefully I’ll release my own walkthroughs at some point soon. I really hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Aqualand recently got an expansion! I added the lands first modular gift shop, and a "Rainforest Cafe" style restaurant where you can watch boats float by while you eat! (WIP)

I'm not sure if anyone remembers me or not, but a long long time ago (in a galaxy far far away...) I started a Disney style park, and one of the lands was themed using only the in-game aquatic theme! It's honestly, one of my favorite areas I've ever made in this game!

Knowing we are getting a new DLC, and hearing all the speculation... I decided to give myself some space at the front of the park for some new backstage operations. It gave me a lot of space behind Aqualand. I could have kept it all as backstage, but I pushed the "Mariana Explorer" ride backwards, and was able to fit both a gift shop, and a restaurant in the land! I was very excited because the majority of the land was build before these features were added to the game. It's a bit of a work in progress at the moment, but I just had to share! It's all so exciting!

Anyway... I'll be posting more this summer! I'm sorry I took a long time away, I was focusing on college, but I hope to see you around! :)

Interior Design Tips?

I always struggle a bit with how to make a shop realistic on the inside, can anyone give some helpful tips?

The style would be a Jack and the Beanstalk vibe, where the big beanstalk on the outside still will be placed.

The Frontier workshop got worse

I see they try to update it to make it look better, sure, but it should also work. 😭 You can’t actually download anything right now, just install, which is silly. Fix it Frontier! That’s a big part of the game and makes players like me not want to bother with it anymore

Second addition to the Brutalist pack

I think I want to go for a swimming pool next. That just seems like the perfect thing for this style. Slightly aged and run down. Question here. I am new on Reddit. Is it possible to make some sort of thread where I can just keep these bundled and when I then post a new one it jumps back to the top?

Another question. I went a bit more light on the dirt and grime on this one. Better or worse?
