i have seen many discourse on juliette being a pick me when i was reading the series awhile ago. labelling her as pick me and annoying when she's far from anything that can be labelled. she's a complex human (even more than aaron imo) and dismissing her autonomy to "pick me" and the aaron glaze is so ironic cause the book is about her. i feel like majority of those people who want complex female characters doesn't even understand what complex means. they want a traumatised individual with a simple personality who's pliable to the mmc. why do people think that juliette not accepting aaron's advances makes her a pick me? like if you wanna put it in a real life case scenario, they actually mean they'll submit to dictatorship if it means they're having food and dresses while other civilians starve, wither and die. the reestblishment was built upon the blood of resistance. so yeah it's like donal trump/hitler / their son falls in love with you and treats you well and you forget about everything they stand for. just so you know, aaron was introduced as the face of the reestblishment, not a love interest (although it was implied and his character development was foreshadowed)

p.s: the second person narrative doesn't mean to target anyone other than the people who sidelines juliette and glaze aaron even in the first book. also i don't hate aaron but just annoyed with women being erased from their own narrative.

okay so wasn't his name James Kent? but in the spin off series he's James Alexander Anderson???

okay so rosabelle initially planned to destroy the ark system and synthetic energy of klaus by drinking the vial and drowning herself in the cradle. but maybe aaron might mind control somebody (using someone's power) or rather sebastin himself to drink the vial and yeah destroy the reestblishment once for all.
