Looking for a microphone to use with an external push to talk feature (cough button?)

For context; me and my housemate play games irl every weekend over Discord. Our set up is two laptops on the dinner table with a shared mic. One of us will plug in an external mic, the other will mute his (laptop) mic. No issues there.

We recently got a new housemate who works odd hours so they will often be cooking while we play. Even with the Discord feature of only detecting voices, it will pick up cabinets closing, doors etc.. it also more often than not cuts our voices as we chat.

Is there a microphone with a built in push to talk feature so we can just push the button when we need to talk. The reason why it needs to be external as opposed to the Discord feature is because if my friend wants to chat, he can't constantly ask me to hold down my keyboard key until he's finished and vice versa.
