McKinley Museum question

Does anyone know if there are wheelchairs available at the McKinley Museum? Free or rental, doesn't matter. There's nothing on their website. I'll call in the morning when they're open but figured someone here might know. Thanks!

Pool permit

Any advice on putting in an aboveground pool at a house in Akron? I read up on municipal codes and it looks like anything more than 2 feet deep needs a permit and has to be at least 6 feet from property lines which seems like a lot (at least for our yard). It also says that the pool enclosure needs to be at least 4 feet above ground but then under "aboveground pools", it says the guard fence needs to be 3 feet high.

So do you need both an enclosure and a guard fence? Just trying to see if any of this is feasible in our yard. Thankful for any insight someone can provide!

Best area to stay in for a few days

First off, before you come at me or complain about "aNotHEr tOUrisT poSt", I have scoured your sub to find any relevant content to my question and searched online. Most of what I found were from people moving to the area and where they should stay, which does not apply to us, or going to a concert downtown, which is not the case here either.

Googling does nothing as all tourist websites just promote the best stuff about each area.

Soon my family (2 adults, one elementary aged kid) is taking a road trip to the beach and we're making a stop in Charlotte. We'll have 2 full days in Charlotte before moving on and I'm trying to figure out the best area to stay in.

Ideally one of our activities is Carowinds since the kid loves coasters but it's weather dependent. We have other options on our list like Discovery Place, Whitewater Center, etc. We want a hotel and not Airbnb/VRBO. We love staying in downtowns but not sure I want to pay the overnight valet parking fee that usually comes with a city hotel.

We want to be in an area that has good local food options and maybe some interesting shops or parks. Not really into beer or coffee but will go if they have good food. Totally fine if it's more "in the burbs", bonus if there's easy public transit access to downtown in case we want to check it out. We don't mind driving but like to take public transit if it's an option. TIA

Fireworks view?

My elderly mom would like to see fireworks on Saturday night. Is there a good spot to park and see the ones downtown? Doesn't have to be close, being able to see them from far away is fine. Just not sure where a good vantage point is that we can sit in the car.

WKYC interviews a professor from Bowling Green about all these school levies being voted on. I thought it was a really good interview where she explains simply and clearly why schools are asking for levies and what it means to have lower taxes.

Here's another article from Orrville Schools that lays out why the schools are suddenly receiving less money: https://www.orrvilleschools.org/o/ms/article/2669947
