Medicaid Card - NY

Just short of a month ago, my child applied and was approved for Medicaid bc they are being kicked off my insurance next month when they turn 26. Their Medicaid ID card has still not come in the mail. We had Medicaid almost 20 years ago before I had this job and insurance. I didn’t think we still had the ID cards around, but to my surprise apparently I DID save them and found them last night in my dresser! The ID number on their newly created account matches the ID number on their card from 20 years ago. So I’m assuming the reason the state hasn’t sent a new card is because they assume we have the old one, which I honestly can’t believe I saved lol but I’m glad I did. BUT the back of the old card is signed by me since they were a small child back then. Can/should they still request a new card be mailed to them or could they really use that old one?

Honeybee Removal?

Hi - can anyone recommend a honeybee removal service? We initially called an exterminator bc we assumed they were hornets bc of the way they were swarming, but upon closer examination once the swarm calmed down, they clearly are honeybees. They are coming in and out of a gap between some bricks on the front of the house and I’m thinking there’s definitely a hive in there. The one place I got a recommendation for hasn’t called me back, so thought I’d try asking here for recommendations to try calling tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance. We are in the northtowns.

Medicaid Card hasn’t arrived (NY)

My child is turning 26 soon and will no longer be able to stay on my insurance that I have through my employer. They just applied and were approved for Medicaid on April 25th, but their Medicaid card hasn’t come in the mail yet - how long does that usually take? We were on Medicaid previously, but that was almost 20 years ago - before I got this job and enrolled us in my work health insurance. Is it possible the state assigned them the same ID number from then and would think we still have that ID card?
