Hypochlorus acid? Please help! Makeup removal

My flare up has finally calmed down and I’m hoping to wear makeup tomorrow for a very special occasion (engagement photos) and I want to be diligent with my cleansers after.

What types of Hypochlorus acid do you guys use, and has it helped?!? The Occusoft is just so expensive and I’d love to use the Walgreens brand or the Target brand Magic Molecule.

I’m thinking of doing Garnier sensitive, rinse, then the acid to be extra safe. I just want to dress up for this day without an outbreak.

Do I tell my salon my hairdresser messed up?

Just hoping for honest advice from stylists. What do I do!? I recently had my hair done by a new girl, my hair had already been fully highlighted but I couldn’t get into my normal stylist (I KNOW - should’ve waited but had a last minute event come up)

All I asked for was a partial: my highlights to be touched up and a bolder money piece (see reference photo #1, #2) I said I felt like “my hair just felt fully highlighted, I want a bolder front” I emphasized “bright” “bolder/thicker”

Photo #3 is how I left. It certainly wasn’t what I asked for but didn’t seem… botched. It seemed fine, in salon lighting. The next day I flew out. I ended up getting sick and going to urgent care lol. Upon actually inspecting it that following week when I was able, in different lighting, I realized it had these brassy pieces and a band of orange all down the sides. I checked their salon policy and they said to contact us in 48 hours to correct it. As I had been flying/sick, I didn’t even have time to process it.

I let it go but now it’s about 3 weeks later and I can’t stand how brassy and orange my hair looks.

Is this something that can even be fixed by a new stylist? She’ll have to pick out all the blonde strands or something which seems like such a nightmare.

Thoughts?

Edit / if you’re located in Vancouver BC or Scottsdale Arizona and can help me let me know 😂

New to clusters - need cleaning / maintenance tips?!

Just bought the keyyou lashes as my first kit and I’m excited but have some questions - I’m taking engagement photos soon so I’m hoping to master these!

I do worry a bit about wearing them for several days in a row, as I’ve had blepharitis previously, so I worry about any bacteria build up or eyeshadow powders accumulating in my lash line. Any other girlies who wear them just for the day? And do you have tips on re-using them or is it nearly impossible to clean the glue off (or daily use glue recs?!)

Also. How do you girls clean your lashes at night? I know to to avoid oil cleansers, but I assume I should be using a cleanser every night. I’ve read foaming cleanser, some say just face wash.

Finally. Best way to remove them? Baby oil, coconut oil?

Just would love to hear your girls’ experiences 💓💖

Skin tag removal on eyelid?

Recently developed skin tag directly on my lash line. Not loving that and curious if you guys have any recommendations on where I can go to remove it as my doctor’s reception says he doesn’t remove them, and an ophthalmologist quoted me $250.

Any advice on where to go that’s not $250? Cheers guys

Is something like this even possible?

I’d love to have a custom ring created but was hoping for opinions if it’s even structurally possible, or worry there’s engineering caveats.

I’m not set on marquise, I’m fine with elongated oval, elongated cushion cut. I wish to have hidden initials incorporated in some way, but I also worry the setting looks too high. I want the gems on the side to be secure as well. I’d appreciate any suggestions, thoughts, advice - really appreciate it, cheers guys 🥂

What’s your favourite summer candle?! Help?!

I’d love any recommendations for the best summer candles before I place my order! I love a coconut scent, something beachy, not very floral or perfume-y. Thinking about getting Peach Bellini, Coconut Pina Colada, Meet Me in Miami? I had to return a couple last time so I was curious what your favourites are.

Thanks guys!!

Powder brows or nano blading?

Ready to take the plunge, doing as much research as possible. I have very sparse very thin eyebrows, so my preference was to do nano blading to add more strokes. Day to day I use Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade as I virtually have no hair on the ends of my eyebrows lol. 😂

From what I’ve read, no matter what the strokes will eventually just blunt together and become blurry.

Do you guys have any advice based on healed before / after years later - is the consensus that powder brows are preferable?

Stylists aren’t doing money pieces how I ask. Do I DIY?

I’ve been to 3 different stylists, paid a really good amount, and none of them are giving me the money piece that I’ve asked for. I always say please make it bold, please make it thick, I want BLONDE! I always show a photo reference. With stylist #2 I actually messaged her really politely and asked if she could pop a few more foils in the front because she didn’t give me a money piece at all really, it was still so dark. (I’ve never had to message a stylist before asking them to touch up so the whole thing was so awkward for me. I never want to seem difficult.)

I’m overall happy with the last place that I went to, and she’s such a sweet girl. The issue was that she had another girl come over and help who hadn’t done the consult with me and hadn’t seen my reference photo so the money pieces ended up being a lot more thin than I hoped. I did leave feeling blonde so I hadn’t said anything but it’s been two weeks since my last appointment and every time I look in the mirror, I can’t help but see how there’s chunks of brown in the front when I wished it was SO much bolder.

I guess my question is: is there a safe way I can pick the little brown pieces out and just get it specific to how I want it? Maybe once I do it they kind of have to follow that guideline? I hate to message her and feel nitpicky, also don’t want to seem like I’m going to be a difficult client because I would like to keep seeing her in the future. Any suggestions or advice? 😭
