my biggest issue w/ them is how they've been idols for a while (six almost seven years), yet the "improvement" they've had since debut is marginal. if you look at their concert/comeback prep vids, it's almost always focusing on the choreo. enhypen are good dancers, that i'll admit, but their singing is barely serviceable. they sound fine in studio b/c they have autotune, vocal processing, and all that jazz to modify their voices - but whenever they attempt to sing live (like in encores), they sound subpar. even to an untrained ear, you can tell their technique isn't great.

i've said this once before, but if they're that far into their careers and haven't made any moves to improve on their own, then it just indicates that they don't want to. on i-land, jake said he wanted to become a kpop idol b/c he was impressed by bts' popularity. jay said he wanted to become an idol b/c he wanted to "be cool." ik goals change when you get older, but considering the lack of improvement, safe to say they're not in the industry for the artistic aspect, just the fame

one of the main reasons i've been unable to get into some of their music is the amount of autotune. the reason they all sound the same in the studio ver vs. sounding different in the live ver is b/c of how overproduced the tracks are. in no way back, there was a point where jungwon straight up sounds like heeseung. or in no doubt, where jake's voice sounds like they played around w/ every pitch setting.

(actually autotune is a problem w/ a lot of the hybe songs b/c i've felt the same with txt)

as a gg stan, i'm fed up with how engenes create narratives that anyone of the opposite gender that interacts with enhypen are somehow "in love" w/ them. some examples off the top of my head:

• obvious and most popular example being wonyoung and sunghoon. when sunghoon was a music bank mc with her, he'd be less enthusiastic and responsive to her mc'ing. to deflect the criticism he was receiving for being incompetent at his job, engenes complained that wonyoung was a "pick me." even after they both stepped down from that position on music bank, they'd paint wonyoung as desperate when she'd laugh or smile in his direction at award shows, but he'd not notice or avoid her completely. or that time she was struggling to open a bag of chips and he just stared at her w/o helping, then they complained that she was an attention seeker 🤕
• jiheon from fromis_9 - again, w/ sunghoon. during a music bank interview, she was smiling at her members, but it was in the direction of sunghoon. engenes took this as her gawking at him b/c of how "incredibly attractive" he was, complaining that she needed to tone it down and not look so desperate. b/c of how much hate she was receiving, she had to clarify herself that that wasn't the case
• ahyeon from baemon. (this is mostly tiktok engenes) but they started a rumor that ahyeon has heeseung as her phone lock screen. she's six years younger than him and was a minor when they (and bm fans, who are kids themselves) were shipping the two together

even fans aren't immune to this. i saw this one tiktok of a girl who went to a fansign and her friend/acquaintance was filming the interaction from the back. don't remember what member interacted w/ her, but engenes got jealous in the comments. they then started sexually harassing the girl and equating her body as the reason for why the members were so positively receptive.

i've had several:

• jungwon solos coming at me for saying knife wasn't a good song. this was after jungwon was on weverse expressing disappointment at engene's reactions to the release. they said that i was "upsetting" him 🫩
• sunoo solos getting mad when i said heeseung was a better singer and sunoo isn't nearly as good of a main vocal
• engenes sending me death threats when i got upset at heeseung saying the n-word at the time. this was on twitter and i didn't even have that many followers. i don't even know how they managed to find my tweets (i was young and just said i was upset w/ him, not even being hateful), but they came into my replies sending me pictures of g*re and self-h*rm
• tiktok engenes getting mad at me for telling them to not ship ahyeon from baemon and heeseung. ahyeon is around my age and was a minor at the time, while heeseung was a fully grown adult. they didn't even realize that their "ship edits" were making heeseung out as a pedo 💀

he was constantly nagging sunoo. i made a post about how sunoo needs to grow up b/c he nags too, but omg jake wouldn't stfu 😭

he was demanding (not suggesting, but demanding) sn to cook the pasta a certain way that even sn got annoyed since he was talking his ear off. he himself can't even cook properly and was acting like he knew how to run the kitchen. ironic that he ended up burning his own pizza which only required him to heat it up in the oven. he just had endless complaints. that's the one thing i hate about jake. can't do something himself but will criticize others for that very thing.

no wonder people that watch enhypen think they don't have the best group dynamic. sn akgaes will be having a field day with today's ep b/c he did not look happy lol

why are you on a snark page for a group you like? why are you willingly interacting with snark in the first place?

i've already come across three users that comment here that are either fans or solo stans of the group. privating your reddit profile doesn't mean people can't see what subreddits you go to btw. it's not as secure as you think.

he'll be turning 23 this year but he still whines and acts immature in group content. i'm not saying he should just act stoic and emotionless from now on, but he hasn't matured (mentally at least) from his teen years. i genuinely thought he was the second youngest b/c of how he'd act, while jw is younger than him yet acts more like a hyung. the members said he also requires a lot of attention and needs to be taken care of - like that is a grown ass man. i'm also just sick of his stans.

• while i did feel bad that he got bodyshamed by his members, he was calling his own sister fat in a vlog. one thing to do that in private b/c siblings tease each other all the time, another thing to say that in front of fans. found it ironic since his stans were being all like #bodypositivity but then tried to downplay that video when they saw their fave also happens to make fatshaming comments
• he was snapping his fingers at a staff member in hybe caterers and got shielded by his fans for it
