Scammer Syndicate in Las Pinas

My senior citizen relative was reportedly targeted by a budol-budol gang and was hypnotized/scammed in front of Mama Pang’s SM Center Las Pinas.
While she was waiting for a jeepney to go home, a young woman approached her and acted as if they already knew each other. The woman claimed she worked at a perfume store inside SM Center and started a friendly conversation.
She then convinced my aunt to go with her. Instead of taking her home, they brought her to a car where there was a young male driver and another female passenger. All of them were wearing face masks, so my aunt was unable to clearly identify their faces.
They drove her toward the Casimiro area, where they convinced her to withdraw money from her bank account. They also persuaded her to return to her house and hand over her jewelry.
Please be extra cautious if you’re walking alone in the area, especially seniors. If you have elderly family members even children, remind them not to engage with strangers who approach them unexpectedly or ask for help.
