Excerpt: The Philippine economy grew at its slowest pace in five years, expanding just 2.8 percent in the first quarter of 2026, as the country grapples with the persistent government spending slump and mounting inflation shocks.

The country’s economy, as measured by the gross domestic product (GDP), decelerated from the 3.0 percent expansion recorded in the final three months of 2025.

It also significantly missed the 3.4 percent median growth projected by economists in a survey, and marked the weakest quarterly output for the country since the first quarter of 2021, when the economy contracted 3.8 percent during pandemic-era lockdowns.

Hi! I’m new to commuting around Alabang-Zapote Road/Las Piñas. What landmarks or specific places should I remember so I know where I am and when to get off? Also, what are the usual names/tawag for these places that commuters use? 😭

Our son is currently Grade 10 at CEU Las Piñas and is considering transferring for Senior High. We’re looking for a school with good academics but also alot of extracurricular activities.

He’s not super outgoing, but he’s quite active in band, badminton community, church community, photography, and he does music production/songwriting on the side as well.

We’d love a school where he can continue these interests while also being encouraged to join new communities and build his confidence/social skills, hindi puro academics lang.

We don’t really require him to get honors as long as he’s responsible with his studies. 😊

As someone who lived most of his adult life in Las Piñas, sobrang go-to ko yung Outbox, (bagong sweldo man o pecha de peligro) ito lang kinakain ko. Aside from malapit to sa bahay, mura siya back then saka ang sarap??
