Looking for a crew to host an Indian server in Windrose, we'll split a cost of ₹1600/mo

TL;DR: Windrose is a game with 1L+ daily active users (SteamDB). Also check its popularity's coverage on Forbes and Gamespot if you want. This game can be played yourself, or with friends. For friend play, you need to make your PC server (bad idea, too slow) or rent server. Nitrado offers Windrose hosting for ₹1600/mo. Windrose itself costs ₹1300. If anyone is up for this game, a few main "Captains" can front the cost and create an Indian Windrose server for 10+ players (can be scaled if we get more people).

Hi all! Windrose is a new pirate game with naval warfare, building-crafting-gathering, Souslite survival, and a rich lore. Most importantly, they have a dev team that actually listens to feedback. I've been a part of the game since alpha. Now, you can either play solo/offline on your own PC or make a server. If you make your PC a server, your friends can join, but all the ships will cause lag unless if you have a lot of RAM and if you can keep it always running.

So, Windrose partners with a company called Nitrado. The cost is less than $17/mo, which translates to ₹1600/mo for hosting a Windrose server. A crew of just 4 people can be the main Captains, splitting ₹400/person/month. And this gives us space for a server that can host 10+ people. But please also keep in mind the game also costs ₹1300 on its own. I'm more looking to find people from India who already play the game, already want to play it, or are already a part of some server and would be interested in starting an Indian server.

Now, why should you even consider this?

Windrose is a large world. A lot of gathering, side quests, crafting, new content, naval warfare, team-based progression, good main quest, etc. Active Discord community. Together, we can create a shared world where we (the main Captains who pay for the server) create the rules for trade, building bases, conquering islands, managing resources, etc., while allowing others from India to also enjoy the game.

If this is something you're up for, let me know in the comments!

If you want to learn more about the game first, I'm sure a single search on YouTube will tell you how it has taken the world by storm. Many YouTubers have pointed out why this game has become so popular. And as someone who's been playing it since first alpha, I can assure you that it's backed by a strong team and regular content, bug fixes, etc. It's an exciting game but only if you are up for some Souslite action, naval warfare with warships and cannons, and some grinding for making higher-tier stuff. In a way, it's a sandbox MMO. Has a large open-world.
