Conference motions in need of the last few co-proposers

I just want to give a quick shout out to a few motions in need of a boost to get onto the agenda for conference. As a reminder, you only have 4 proposals or co-proposals so it's really worth checking if anything you've supported is way over the 12 person threshold and withdrawing to support something else you also want to see debated.

This is not an endorsement of any of these motions, some of which I don't really support or aren't particularly well written. They are just the motions that are on the borderline.

There are members who have co-proposed beyond their allowance so I have included some that are just over the threshold too.

Andy Burnham caves to big oil

Grace Blakeley (who you should all subscribe to!) on Andy Burnham's failure to stand up to external forces.

It notably includes this:

Ithaca Energy, which owns 20% of the Rosebank oil field, is majority-controlled by the Israeli conglomerate Delek Group. Delek has been flagged by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights as a company operating in support of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territory. Delek also reportedly supplies fuel to the IDF. Development of Rosebank could channel £250 million towards Delek Group.

So that's great 🙃

Party Reconciliation

So, whatever happens at Conference, there is a ton of work to be done in the party to create some sort of harmony again...

How do we do that? What happens the day after the ZIR vote? Either direction it goes (and I suspect it will be voted through, there's a bit more opposition now but not enough), it's going to be rough. How do we fix this?

The terf wars a decade ago felt much less impactful tbh.

A note on discussion about Zionism is Racism

We have had some very considered conversations about this here recently - I encourage members to also make these points on the agenda forum in the name of open debate. Its purpose is to help shape motions and there is still hope that Greens for Palestine will make changes so we can support it. It is much harder to ignore on a members only forum.

Moral Imperialism versus Class Solidarity - Grace Blakeley

Apologies, as a substack, this is unfortunately behind a pay wall but I thoroughly recommend Greens subscribe to Grace as her insights are always relevant!

This is on individualism, both political and economic, and I think is very relevant as the party transitions into a mass membership organisation.

For those who can't read, essentially her conclusion is that only solidarity - cross those with different conditions and different politics - can save us. If we focus on our differences, we lose all our power against the capitalist elites. As long as we are on roughly the same path, we must work together.

Greens for Palestine have leaked their own consultation emails...?

...including their rejection of mediation attempts from Jewish Greens

Just why did they think this looked good?

It's sort of a side note but it's very funny how they have redacted names of officers who are in the public domain and easily searchable - why bother if you're not actually going to protect anyone's identity??

Imprints for motions to conference

If I was to publicise a motion with printed materials at conference, would I need an imprint?

It's not clear to me whether this is the case or not and it's honestly not something I would have considered however I noticed my copy of the Abolish Landlords poster includes one and it got me thinking...

Altra Experience Wild 3+ Midsole

Hello, I've seen a couple of reviews of the new Experience Flow 3 and it seems like in some models the Ego P35 foam is completely different (and way worse) than on the Flow 2, which felt great. Has anyone had experience with the Wild 3+ and can reassure me before ordering that the same issues don't apply here?
