Make it make sense! Watched 15 or so people get on pre-board.. I’m second in line for ALP.. I get to my row, and 2 of the preboards that I watched get on the plane are sitting in the same exit row as me.. cant walk down to the plane but your capable of performing duties for exit row?
Per a gate agent I was chatting up while changing a flight.
Once the carryon bins are in place by the gates. They will be charging to check bags at the gate if they don’t fit into the bin. I didn’t get an amount but assume it’s the same as checked bag fee today.
Caveats: if you have a status or CC that gets you a free bag.. no charge. FEE IS waived.
Her stated Reasoning: they have bag check stations at the ticket counter and if you didn’t check it there it’s on you.. no fit, no carrying it on.
Edit attempt for clarity: this was direct from a gate agent at BNA.. this applies to whatever bag you decide to bring thru security… if it doesn’t fit in the box.. it gets checked. Full stop.. the next part is important.. you will be charged if you do not have a status that waives the fee or a SW cc perk that also will waive the fee..
Saw this on my boarding pass but was unsure how it works.. I’ll find out in a few minutes.
