I keep getting hit on my shins.

I keep getting hit on my shins.

I’ve been riding for a year and a half. For the last 8–9 months, the board kept hitting my shin; I finally got fed up and smashed the deck, then bought a new one, but that one hits my shin too. Does anyone use a guard for this? What would solve the problem?

Is there a difference between regular griptape and clear griptape?

I'm going to buy mob griptape from my local skate shop. Regular mob griptape is twice as expensive as clear mob griptape. I actually wanted clear anyway, but why is clear cheaper? Is there a performance difference between them?

trying to treflip

I'm trying to do a treflip, but I can't seem to move my back foot. Whenever I try, it either turns into a 360 shuv, a half turn, or my big toe gets caught under the wheel and it hurts a lot.

I'm doing a scoop flip, and I don't think I'm flicking with my front foot, but somehow the treflip turns. And I can't keep the board under me; it goes higher than me.

They hurt a lot. They have been like this for quite a few months and they never fully heal. Some people say I fell the wrong way, but all the pros I watch fall using their hands the same way. If I shift my weight forward and fall forward while doing a backside 180, how can I fall without using my hands? This is ridiculous.
