Bless Me Father for I have sinned

I swore I’d never watch THE SKATE again. But just now, scrolling on YT, it came up from the Eurovision channel. And I wanted to see if my reaction was better months later than infamous Friday the 13th. It wasn’t. Actually it was worse, especially when he buried his head into RAF’s shoulder. But what did hit also was his exchange with Shaidorov. We’ve talked about this here many times but when you watch the spontaneous grace he showed it makes me admire him and his parents even more. I hope I get to see him on a red carpet on the 16th.

Did not go to the gala and was on the proletariat risers. But having been there last year, I knew what to expect. I think that Ilia attending was a comfort zone for him since we know it was last minute. I kept thinking that had things worked out differently, he would have been at the Met Gala because heaven knows he loves fashion and can pull off avant garde. But true to form and heart, there he was skating and performing. I caught him peeking to see the ITNY troupe do their last number. So he doesn’t just lurk at competitions. I’m sad he didn’t come out to greet regular fans. Baby Emilea was heartbroken.
