Canadian Rockies roadtrip
I'm thinking of doing a roadtrip with the newest addition to the family (my 5 m.o. son and our new beautiful blue ID Buzz lol) during the September long weekend, from Vancouver to the rockies.
Looking to see if anyone has any experience taking the Buzz on a trip in the Canadian rockies, more specifically, from Jasper to Banff (or vice versa) along the icefield parkway? From Vancouver to Jasper OR Banff seems the charging options are straightforward enough.
If anyone could help with answering the questions would be amazing:
Distance-wise and ABRP would say it's doable, but with the elevation changes along the way, is it still a comfortably safe drive range-wise?
Would Vancouver-Jasper-Banff or Vancouver-Banff-Jasper be the better choice?
if doable, any tips/recommendations about where to charge and what to expect?
All the research I'm doing points towards the trip being viable!, though with perhaps a detour along the way to Field B.C., and/or Canmore AB for Level 3 chargers. BUT it's our first E.V. and we don't have the experience to know what may go wrong...
UPDATE: We're gonna go for it!!! All signs point to yes, maybe photos to follow in a few weeks :)
