Hey everyone,

I wanted to get your opinion/help on applying for Canada Visitor Visa from India.

A little about myself, I'm 26M, single, working with United Airlines for 3 years now. I have a friend on a student VISA in Canada who I wish to travel and explore Canada with. I have a stable income and currently hold 4500 CAD (~3 Lakh INR) in my bank account and have held it for approx 6-7 months. I recently travelled to Japan for 8 days and that's my only international trip. I have a US Visa (B1) Refusal in Aug 2025.

My questions:

1. Do I apply for Canadian Visitor VISA now or wait till I get a US Visa(hoping) later this year?

2. That being said, what are my chances if I apply right now? Without US Visa. I wanted to be in Canada for Halloween.

3. Do I mention, in the cover letter, that I have a friend in Canada? I don't see a reason why I should, because he can't send an invite letter. Thoughts?
