Inflated flight ticket prices
Guys I'm noticing that flight tickets for all regions esp south Asia have gone up by 50 percent.
Is it bcos of Middle East war
Do you'll think the rates will come down after a few months?

Hi, if I’m unemployed currently should I leave the occupation section blank or should I choose the unemployed option from the dropdown? Has anyone visited Vietnam while they were unemployed? What did you do? I know the Indian passports get especially scrutinized so I just want to be cautious.
My parents are applying for Canadian visitor (tourist) visas. One of the documents requested in the application is their marriage certificate.
The issue is that my parents got married in Meerut, UP in 1977, when marriage registration was not something that was commonly done in their area and family. Their marriage was never formally registered, so they do not have a marriage certificate.
They have been married for nearly 50 years and have official documents such as their passports and Aadhaar records that identify them as spouses. They have also previously travelled to the USA, and a marriage certificate was not requested during their visa applications.
For the Canadian visa application, however, the document checklist is asking for a marriage certificate.
Has anyone here been in a similar situation? Especially for parents or older couples who got married in India decades ago but never registered their marriage?
What did you submit in place of the marriage certificate?
Hi everyone! I’m applying for a Japan visa through VFS Delhi and had a few questions. Would really appreciate if anyone who has applied recently could help :)
Do I need to book an appointment before submitting my application at VFS Delhi, or can I just walk in?
For the flight tickets, is it better to get a dummy/flight reservation, or is a screenshot of the airline booking/checkout page showing the flight details and price enough? I don’t want to actually buy the ticket before getting the visa.
How detailed does the Japan itinerary need to be? Do they expect a detailed day-by-day plan, or is it enough to mention the dates, cities, accommodation and what I’ll be doing?
If anyone has applied through VFS Delhi recently, what did you submit for the flight and itinerary, and did VFS ask for anything extra?
In case it's relevant: I'm not a student, nor currently employed. I am selected for a short internship in Japan. Stay and travel during the internship would be covered by the university and personal travel following the internship will be covered by my family (for which I have attached my mother's bank statement with 45L+ INR maintained)
Edit: 2 week internship + 1 week personal travel
Okay so Part 1 kind of blew up and my comments turned into you lot yelling country names at me for two days straight 😭💅 so I actually sat down, did the research, and here's Part 2.

Same deal, ranked by how little effort your Indian passport actually needs. S is walk in like you own the place, D is beg the embassy and pray
This round's the underrated lot the Caribbean is a straight up cheat code (Barbados, Jamaica, Grenada, Dominica, Trinidad, all just walk in), Macau's been quietly iconic this whole time and I finally added a bonus tier for the real flex the countries a US, UK or Schengen visa quietly unlocks. Mexico, Turkey, Taiwan and a bunch more. That random old US visa is doing SO much more than you think
Kazakhstan's in A and not S because the QazETA permit becomes mandatory from Aug 25, so you'll actually need the online thing now
And Bolivia... it was visa on arrival. Past tense 💀 switched to a strict eVisa this year
Anyway go on, tell me who I ranked wrong I can already feel like three of you typing 😭
Hello Folks,
Is it mandatory to provide the onward flight ticket with the application?
P.S. checked with the travel agent and they said we can provide it later if requested
The trip:
We're planning a 17 day trip to Central Europe in Early October.
The plan is to fly into Prague and spend
5 nights in Czech (Prague + Cesky Krumlov)
5 nights in Slovakia (Slovak Paradise + High Tatras)
3 nights in Hungary (Budapest)
3 nights in Austria (Vienna)
and fly home from Vienna.
About me:
30M. I make 2L a month net.
Solid travel history (USA, Chile, Taiwan, NZ and Australia among others in the last 3 years).
I have an expired, unused Schengen visa from Iceland (had to cancel the trip due to COVID)
The issue:
I have a current balance of 1.5L in my account. It looks even worse on a 6 month statement, my MAB was under 50k for May & June. I moved funds out for investments immediately after salary credit.
The questions:
I believe I'll have to apply through the Czech Republic.
Are they more interested in the balance or the income?
Should I wait till the end of the month and get a statement right after salary is credited? But I might ending up cutting it too close applying less than 4 weeks before travel date.
Do they accept mutual fund statement as an additional supporting document? (Edit: I have a stock portfolio of 10L+)
I'm just trying to get an idea of my odds here.
Thanks in advance!
Hey folks, I am looking to go on a trip next yr in q1 with friends and their families. We are 3 friends with 10 people in total. Our kids are 1, 2, 5 and 6 yrs old. I have traveled to Singapore, Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, hk and macau before and I am familiar with the processes. The help I need is in choosing the destination with such group. I had plans to go to phuquoc island before but the flights are now insanely priced and the airasia ones from bkk are even more expensive. Vietjet is ok for now but the added cost of visa and the hassle of changing terminals in sgn looks daunting. Also, I have begun to rethink if phuquoc island alone would be worth going at all. I am now considering Thailand, north Vietnam and phuquoc island.
Can you guys pls share your experience in these countries with the small kids and suggestions on what place is better? I am open to other countries as well provided the itinerary isn't too rushed and the entire trip cost is less than 2 lac.
Did the famous ABC trek in October 24. Perfect weather, the entire trek took us 5 days.
Hey everyone!
Planning to go to: Colombo, Galle, Weligama/Mirissa, Kandy for 8 days. Is this gonna be rushed or is it doable?
Apart from that got a few quick questions:
Cash or Card? Which one is actually king for daily stuff on this route? Should I carry mostly cash or can I get by with card in most places?
Getting around: What’s the easiest way to move between these spots? Was considering renting a car to drive myself, Or should I just stick to trains for long distances?
Food budget: Any rough idea what to budget per day for food? Plan is mostly hit up cafes and mid-range places, with maybe one or two nicer dinners thrown in.
Im indian who is looking for any reliable travel agent in tamil nadu atleast near chennai
picked up the Portronics Adapto 65 , and it's easily become my favorite travel companion.
The best part? I can plug in my laptop, phone, watch, and earbuds all at once.
(Note several companies sell the same product under their own brand name i suspect all of them are same)
Anyways what is your go to travel gadget / accessory
Hi everyone! We are a bunch of students going to Europe for the first time on Student Exchange.
We really wanna experience Oktoberfest but the stays in Munich are very expensive. Does anyone have any tips?
If staying outside Munich, which city would you personally recommend and why? We were thinking Regensburg, Freising, or Augsburg - but not sure of it.
For those who stayed outside Munich, where did you stay and how was getting back after Oktoberfest at night?
Are Airbnbs a good option or should we stick to hotels?
Should we buy tickets/table reservations in the tents or opt for free entry?
Are there any language barrier issues we might face, or any cultural differences to keep an eye out for?
Any other general tips for budget travel across Europe will also be very helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Hello I am planning a trip to malayasia and langkawi and Penang in January can you please share good resorts and hotel details which you stayed
My total budget for my stay is around 45k for 7 nights
3 Nights in langkawi
3 nights in kulalampur
One night in Penang.
Looking for good suggestions.
Honestly this came from me getting annoyed at those "visa free countries for indians" lists. they'll put Nepal and Vietnam in the same list like they're equal?? one you literally just walk into, the other you're doing an eVisa two weeks before. not the same thing at all.
So i ranked them by how much effort it actually takes.
Key: S = just show up. A = free but one online form. B = small fee at the airport. C = eVisa before you fly. D = full embassy pain, appointments, bank statements etc.
the thing that surprises people is the US visa one. if you already have a valid US/UK/Schengen visa half the D tier basically opens up. mexico, turkey, some balkan countries. that old US tourist visa does way more than just US entry, most people have no idea.
anyway lmk where im wrong, pretty sure someone's gonna be upset about at least one of these
My plan recently got changed so im planning to travel to Singapore. Any idea how soon i can get visa?
My travelling date is 21st august
Im indian travelling for leisure
We (6 adults+2 kids) are visiting Singapore early November for 8 nights. The main purpose of the trip is a 3N+4D cruise in the middle of this trip.
Accommodation: For the remaining nights (3N at the start & 2N at the end), I was looking for accommodations, preferably houses with 3 bedrooms. The main reason for this is the availability of kitchen to manage the dietary needs of the kids and the seniors in the group. But I realized that apartment rentals for such short duration is not permitted in Singapore. Are there any alternatives to booking 3 separate hotel rooms? I have been using Booking.com and Agoda to search.
Locaiton: I understand booking accommodation near an MRT station is the ideal way to reduce the amount of walking. Since we have 2 senior citizens in the group, any suggestions on the area/locality we should be looking at to book the hotels? Ideally, a place that is located on a direct line from/to airport and the cruise terminal.
Cruise: If someone has done the Royal Carribbean cruise (Sing-Penang-Sing), any tips/inputs would be welcome!
This is how the back cover of my passport looks like.
All other pages are not damaged. They are completely fine.
I have to fly overseas in October.
Should I get my passport replaced?
Hello everyone. I am travelling for the first time ever outside of India and pretty anxious. I am travelling to Singapore since it is very easy to navigate for a first time traveller. I am travelling in October for 7 days with my wife and 3 year old daughter.
I have checked everything but only one thing I am still confused is on travel insurance. What all should I look into before getting a travel insurance. Medical, flight cancelation, etc. Any guidance is helpful.
Thank you.
