First time International travel to Singapore with wife and 3 year old daughter

Hello everyone. I am travelling for the first time ever outside of India and pretty anxious. I am travelling to Singapore since it is very easy to navigate for a first time traveller. I am travelling in October for 7 days with my wife and 3 year old daughter.

I have checked everything but only one thing I am still confused is on travel insurance. What all should I look into before getting a travel insurance. Medical, flight cancelation, etc. Any guidance is helpful.

Thank you.

Where to buy 1 gram gold coin in physical store in bangalore with lowest or no marking charges?

Hi everyone, as the title says. Where can I buy gold coin in Bangalore that offers lowest or no making charges?

I don't want to buy online. I want to buy in physical store. I have spare 17-18k left every month and I would like to purchase 1 gram every month.

I don't want to go the of route monthly payment plan offered by many gold companies since they have monthly payment based on fixed amount but I want to buy based on weight, like 1 gram every month.

Please suggest.

One month update since my previous post where we decided to allocate personal allowance in out monthly budget.

https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinanceindia/s/3lqfljFLJQ

Some good things have happened since we started taking out personal allowance.

Home - 40k (spent 42.6k, will explain why overshot)

Car & hike - 6k (spent 0.8k)

Me - 8k (spent 3.7k, mostly on my birthday treat to friends)

Wife - 8k (spent 9.7k, will explain why overshot)

Daughter - 8k (spent 3.6k)

My wife's parents gave her 2.5k when she visited her home. I added it to her account. So now she had 10.5k. She bought few clothes, birthday gift for me etc.

Home spending overshot by 2.6k. Funny thing is, now since we have to debit from an account, we need to decide it properly. She had to travel to a different city to attend a wedding and I asked her from which account the travel expenses should be come from? She told it should come from home account and not her personal account since she is forced to attend and she is representing our home 😂 agreed.

And when she was away, I had to order food and i again asked her, should I add it to my account or home account. She told me to debut it from home account since I am forced to eat out and not something I would have done if she hadn't been away. 😊 Agreed.

Also, we had to give wedding gift etc. So overshot.

She saw how she gets gifts from her parents and I don't get any from anyone. So she asked me to take same amount from our surplus and add it to my account.

Basically, we would spend same amount at the end of year. If she gets gifts, then I can take from surplus to match it. At the end of the year, no one should feel less.

Very happy update 😊
