Outdoor sports paradise

Hi everyone,

I'm a 25-year-old male looking to move abroad. I have been living in Brussels for two years now, and I really enjoy it here since I have a great network of friends, a rewarding job, and an active social life. :)

However, for quite some time, I have been wanting to move abroad to pursue a more outdoorsy lifestyle and meet like-minded people. I am deeply into climbing, skiing, trail running, and kitesurfing. Ideally, I am looking for a destination that combines the mountains with a lake or the sea. I am primarily focusing on options within Europe so it remains easy to visit family and friends, but I am open to suggestions further away.

I speak Dutch (native), English (fluent), and French (B2/Intermediate). I would prefer to move to a French-speaking country or region to improve my language skills and make it easier to connect with the locals. (But again not a must)

Professionally, I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering and have two and a half years of experience working as a Project Engineer for a German multinational company.

I would love to hear your tips, recommendations, or suggestions!
