Animal fragrance

I blind bought a cake because apparently/maybe Farmerleaf can finally send to Hawaii again, so, yay. I’m not sure animal fragrance is something I’m going to like, or what exactly that means but, they said it’s of their favorites this year so I‘m throwing caution to the wind.

Thrifted houhin style pot

I’m all smile- made by a Taiwanese company 陶作坊 and in unused condition. Their items listed on their website are pricy; I’m glad I grabbed this for a few bucks.

Visiting a tea garden, Big Island Hawaii 1200m elevation

The monk was so generous to give me a tour of her tea garden. She harvest tea and produces it for herself and friends, all by hand, while other people also harvest from this garden. She said much of it was planted from trimmings, while some of it has grown from seed and is a mix of different varietals. She was very kind and also sent me home with some oolong tea and white tea that she had just made herself all by hand as well as a couple tea plants for me to try my hand at growing at my lower elevation. She says she has another even more beautiful garden that she wants to show me next time, I am so excited to explore more. She also said she might have me try to help her make some tea as she could use my strength for the rolling process for since she makes it all by hand.
