
Patch 3.1.0 Build 175 Released
Dear Citizens of the Suzerainverse,
It’s been a while since our last patch for the 3.1 update! While we’ve been hard at work on several new projects behind the scenes, we also wanted to continue improving the live game experience.
With the help of our internal QA team, community testers, and all of your feedback, we’ve resolved an incredible 150+ bug tickets and made a wide range of fixes, improvements, and polish updates across Suzerain and Kingdom of Rizia. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us track down issues and improve the experience for all players.

Technical
- Fixed an issue preventing certain story fragments from saving correctly.
- Updated backend game flow systems to improve turn management and fix issues where some decisions could fail to appear after reloading a save.
- Updated the project to Unity version 6000.3.9f1.
- Optimized animation and transition systems to improve performance and transition cleanup.
- Improved offline handling and internet connectivity checks.
- Fixed a race condition issue by improving data caching and loading behavior.
- Updated new game progression flow to disable loading from FinalSave files.
- Fixed an issue with Torpor newsletter unsubscribe requests.
Content
- Added new Codex entries expanding the history and arc of the Dome conflict, including wars, treaties, battles, and postwar economic developments.
- Added new Codex entries for major industrial and dynastic actors connected to Dome, including Rumburg Emerald Energy and the Halsecroft-Denwald family.
- Expanded regional lore with new Codex entries covering Heljiland, the War of the Ridges, and Central Merkopa.
- Added new Codex entries for Soradis, Markanissa, Erdmarg.
- Added new Codex entries of Geopolitico, the Konstantium Defender, and Tuomas Sacker.
- Updated several existing Codex entries, including the Alliance of Nations, Valgslandian Socialism, Agnolia, GRACE, and Arcasia.

UI/UX improvements
- Improved UI state handling to prevent non-interactable map tokens and lingering warning messages during Pales war gameplay.
- Improved menu focus behavior after confirming a new game.
- Improved Profile HUD show/hide behavior across New Game, Collections, Options, Summary, and Credits screens.
- Improved UI layering and sorting behavior across several menus.
- Improved clarity on the archetype selection screen with new explanatory text replacing the previous confirmation prompt.
Gamepad Improvements
- Improved controller navigation across multiple UI panels, including the Codex, Journal, Connections, Overview, and Royal Decrees screens.
- Added additional controller shortcuts and shoulder button navigation for filters, categories, and carousel-based menus.
- Improved gamepad usability in Collections, Economic Stability graphs, Skip Prologue choices, and other carousel components.
- Updated controller focus navigation behavior in panels to provide smoother and more consistent menu interaction.
- Fixed an issue where rapid gamepad inputs during menu transitions could unintentionally trigger the Continue button and reload the current save.
- Improved Codex menu navigation and fixed initial selection issues.
- Improved gamepad navigation for the campaign deletion menu.
- Fixed an issue preventing players from navigating the Term Budget Panel with a gamepad during the Turn 3 Government of Sordland budget allocation dialogue due to a missing selection cursor.
- Resolved token overlap issues on the Rizia national map for gamepad users, including Fort Ales and Invasion of Pales.
Bug Fixes and Polish
- Fixed collectibles not appearing correctly in the main menu.
- Fixed dialogue quote behavior when skipping or hiding text.
- Corrected inconsistencies in Alvarez’s Codex entry.
- Fixed missing Arcasian Capitalism Codex links within the CSP entry.
- Improved overall text quality by fixing 30+ typos, grammatical issues, and text inconsistencies across story events, journals, reports, in-game articles, and Codex entries.
Kingdom of Rizia DLC
Design & Balancing
- Increased the influence of living standards and worker conditions on reform movement strength.
- Corrected the Future of RRG outcome incorrectly stating that Rusty was arrested instead of fleeing Rizia.
- Rico Toras now properly reacts to residence permit discussions during council meetings.
- Added penalty warning and penalty decision for west trade reduction.
- Added positive and negative leaning integers to some late-game content.
Art
- Updated the Wruhec’s Guardians Codex entry image.
Bug Fixes and Polish
- Improved UI state handling to prevent non-interactable map tokens and lingering warning messages during Pales war gameplay.
- Fixed an issue during manual control war sequences where the objective to rescue Vina could fail to appear or become non-interactable.

- Reduced unnecessary error messages appearing while Nintendo Switch is in Airplane Mode.
- Updated Nintendo Switch platform naming in the Main Menu version display for improved consistency.
- Fixed an issue where Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers were not correctly identified on PC.

Mobile

- Fixed several issues that could cause freezes or unresponsive behavior on all mobile devices.
- Improved mobile Profile UI stability to prevent brief flashing issues.
- Limited the maximum number of mobile save files to 100.
