What is the English language to the people in the suzerain universe

We know they have their own language like Sordish, etc but they speak English in every conversations and only occasionally Sordish quotes.

So my question is what is the English language to them, is it like a sort of constructed international language or something

Though the most logical answer I can think of is they actually speak Sordish but lines were shown in English for player to understand

Top comment decides map change, realistic or not. Day 1.

I wont make this a rule, but it's probably best NOT to rush this too quickly and also mentioning the same country everytime, like Sordland this, then Sordland that everyday.

Anyway, here's the lore behind Sordland's annexation of Rumburg.

It was a very simple term of arrangements that both Queen Beatrice and President Rayne had concluded on. One game of Poker in a do-or-die scenario where the opposing nation would be fully annexed and have their autonomy stripped to non-existent.

For Beatrice, the matter was simple: arrange the game in Rumburg and ensure the waiter staff rigged it in Rumburg's favour.
As both leaders shook hands and sat down, the game of poker had finally commenced...
Of course Queen Beatrice wanted to win, but also wanted to ensure that her victory didn't raise any suspicion; after all, who would ever trust a monarch who lied?
Right before the game, the Queen made sure to ensure that the 52-card deck would be shuffled in such a way as to ensure victory through a four-of-a-kind flush, of aces, of course.
Everything was going perfectly... two aces on hand, ace of spades revealed, king of hearts revealed, queen of hearts revealed. with one more ace guaranteed to be revealed, it was a breeze really for such a cunning Queen.

At last, both leaders went all in, do or die; one would be victorious while one would be fed to the bluds as always (what?). Here it came! A king of clovers and... an ace of hearts.

Queen Beatrice: "So Mr. Rayne, do you think you can beat an ace flush? Your country is good as mine!"

Even President Rayne was impressed: 4 aces in a game like this? What are the odds? Except for he wasn't impressed, he was smiling.

President Rayne: Your Majesty... I'm so sorry for your loss... Shall we sign the agreement in the Forest of October to empathise the brutality of the situation?"

Heart of Jack, Heart of 10... A royal flush...

President Rayne: "I might add, if you were going to cheat in this high-stakes game, I could only assume cheating was allowed, you think you were the only one who shuffled the deck as well?"

After a long game of poker against President Rayne, Queen Beatrice of Rumburg was forced into a corner, tricked and laughed at... It ended with the loss of the side of the nation Rumburg...
"A promise is a promise... The nation of Rumburg will be ceded to Sordland..."

'Encroaching Global Rivalry' Modifier

I was reading through some of the modifiers for Rizia and I noticed that the yellow 'Encroaching Global Rivalry' situation calls ATO the 'Arcasian Treaty Alliance'. I've never seen anyone point this out; has anybody else noticed it?

Questions about military doctrines.

I understand that the Sordland army is divided between two military doctrines: that of the Old Guard and Lancea's so-called mobile warfare. But do we have more information about this in the lore? Is Kruger's doctrine similar to a World War I doctrine, and Lancea's to a blitzkrieg doctrine?

"Romus the Red" - How can I achieve a strong Statist economy in Rizia?

In all of my Rizia playthroughs where I ended with a strong economy instead of breaking even, or limping across the finish line with negative budget/energy per turn, I ended up being far right on the endgame political compass. Lots of privatization + generous subsidies for business.

Is there a way to go far left on economics and still get a booming economy? I suppose there are three things to consider:

  1. Rizia begins with a pretty Statist economy. Rusty Montorro may have 70% of Rizian Royal Gold and the patents to its tech, but consider all of the wealth and resources the nobles have. The Nobility is the State.

  2. Welfare decrees increase our Statist score, correct? They're mostly useful for preventing a second uprising but do some of them have direct economic benefits as well in spite of their price tags?

  3. How do the various factories, resource extraction projects (Esqiris Gas Field, etc) and Nurist sanctuaries affect our Statist-Capitalist score?

Other than that, nationalizing RRG seems like the most significant Statist move you can make. But I don't see a path to a booming endgame Statist economy, privatization brings in the money and welfare decrees are basically a hedge against Rizian Uprising 2.0/a roleplaying option. Am I wrong?

  • Dark Red = CSP Member
  • Light Red = CSP Alligned
  • Dark Blue = ATO Member
  • Light Blue = ATO Alligned
  • Basically I went Malenyevist/Nationalist with Sordland and Rizia and did my best to support the CSP Internationally while having both Wars possible so yeah Rumburg has no Queen and is basically controlled by Valgsland so yeah In the end screen it said one other GRACE Member had a Revolution and another left but we dont know which so I did nothing in that department

Future Game Set In Medieval Times

I’m super excited for all the new content and I obviously wouldn’t ask something like this if the devs right now but something that disappointed me in Rizia was the lack of real internoble interaction. Since the DLC is set in modern times you have to worry about a bunch of other concerns like your stinky peasants starting a revolution against you and the political intrigue between nobility suffers for it. For instance, the Rizian Civil War; right now it’s basically just there for flavor text and rp purposes. What if you could play in a Civil War in real time? I’d really like an expansive standalone game set in a Game of Thrones-esque environment where your prologue choices decide which houses you’re originally allied to and whether your house has an edge in military, economy, political influence etc. Similar to the Crown Prince focus in suzerain. It would obviously be a huge undertaking and investment on the Devs’ part, so I definitely don’t expect in anytime soon, but this is just my suzerain pipe dream. Let me know what you guys think about it

What is the best way to reintegrate Zille and Pales?

I am currently playing as a capitalist democratic Romus. And by chapter 6 i realize that i fucked up because by trying to being nice with Lespia and letting Vina marriage whoever she wanted i basically destroyed any change i see to retake pales both by arms and with a marriage. And with everything i already spent on expanding industries and a military i see i will never use anyway i don't think i can't convince Reinhart to reunite by an overwelming economy growth either

Rumor about Theocracy Run

When I did my Theocracy Run in Rizia, I was really excited for a moment that never came. I read in one the comments here in the subreddit that Sal would open the tombs in Plavo and reveal thousands of gold reserves hidden away after the Fall of the Rezenid Empire. Of course that moment never came, it was just a rumor, but that would have been an amazing reveal. Overall the Run is kinda anticlimactic, considering how batshit insane it is that Romus becomes a Godking nothing really happens.

What would the hypothetical reign of King Hugo Toras be like?

Suppose that something happened to Romus which prevented him from inheriting the Crown. An accident, illness, etc. Hugo is crowned King of Rizia after Valero dies.

We have a general idea of his personality, his allegiances, his beliefs, and his preferred policies based on his dialogue and his approval/neutrality/opposition to the various royal decrees. Sometimes Hugo will even pull Romus aside to urge caution when signing certain decrees.

Do you think that he would change after being crowned King? Or would he be the same - staunchly pro-nobility, pro-Wruhecist, pro-Su Omina, somewhat pro-business, generally opposed or neutral to welfare, etc.

I'd imagine that taking on so much authority and being forced to adopt a broader perspective, that of a King rather than Grand Vizier, would change anyone.
