Fuck O'Bannon. God Ben Affleck was such a dick in this movie. Excellent performance! My cheeks were sore for days after getting nailed, though..
The image is of an email from a CS agent who works for Revival, BE's corporate overlord. To be clear, what's going on now is not an official recall. But we're expecting one here soon.

And apparently UC Davis had some issues with the formula and is now conducting its own investigation. If you know about UC Davis, that's bigly significant. One of the top Veterinary Medicine schools on the PLANET. So yeah, recall is around the corner.

What really gets me is the fact they recalled the puppy replacer but left the kitten replacer out there. It's manufactured in the same place with similar ingredients that are sourced from the same supplier.

My guess is they took a poorly calculated risk and it's about to bite them in the ass. Hopefully, anyway. Who knows these days. Nothing I'm the news yet, but this is brand new.

Either way: Monitor your little ones CAREFULLY if you are using Shelter's Choice milk replacer. Best bet is to just avoid it at all costs.
They recalled their puppy formula in April this year for insufficient levels of vitamin d.
Apparently they didn't bother to check on their kitten formula.
So, if you have kittens that are not growing and getting "sick" and dying, check your milk replacer and if it's Shelter's Choice, get rid of it and buy KMR or something. Not the best but it won't kill your kittens.
This is ridiculous. We need better regulations or at least companies that actually care about the lives affected by their products and produce quality. I'm so tired of these companies cutting corners just to save a couple dollars for their private equity owners at the expense of little lives.
EDIT: I forgot to mention: we went out and got some basic KMR and the difference in behavior is NIGHT AND DAY. Before the switch, the kittens were barely moving around, like major struggle bus type stuff. One of them is still borderline but the other remaining (there were 4) kitten has had exponential weight gain and they we're both up the next day walking around - not perfectly but wayyyy better than before the switch.
