Milicianos Indios - buying at scale

Milicianos Indios - buying at scale

Hey all!

Anyone have advice on getting multiple 4-6 man units of bow-wielding native soldiers to use as Milicianos Indios in a Mission Garrison list other than just buying a lot of the resin kit?

The 6-man Native American sprue only looks to come with 4 bows, and I really like the “auxiliary” look of thee sculpts as opposed to the more native faction aligned bare-chested/loinclothed models.

Didn’t want to bog down the post so I’m sticking additional context below. Thanks so much for any help or advice!

Mawseekers Builds

I’ve been pondering a fluffy Mawseekers list and wanted to get a gut check from the maw-mind (hive-maw? — you get the idea).

So two copies of the spearhead and Redd is, annoyingly, 2060 points. The swap I’ve been pondering is dropping a unit of gorgers for a scraplauncher which has the benefits of adding some of then little green snacks eejits into the army, providing some ranged threat, and potential movement denial.

However, the short story from warcom turned me onto the idea of a combo Mawseekers/Beastclaw list, using the Beastclaw deployment ability to fudge the drops and avoid the need to run a regiment just for the gorgers (no idea if that’s necessary - this is my first foray into AoS and I’m excited by list building)

All of this is of course confounded by the Mawseeker-locked army of renown. Which seems cool from a flavor perspective, but I’m not sure if I’d be hamstringing myself if I play it. I don’t know enough about the system to really tell, so here I am asking.

Losing eat ‘em alive and the +1 to hit spell in exchange for the resource minigame, crit mortals on tap, some good movement abilities, heals, and mortals from the unlimited spells seems ok? All of that in addition to the points issue (three butchers? Don’t reinforce the cleavers? None of the options seem good) has me very conflicted. More broadly, are the AoR meant to be fluffy/fun ways to do a mono-list? Or am I missing some interaction that makes the rules cracked?

Quick aside - has anyone played an army with the “wholly within 12” to get your abilities restriction? I play a kill team with a similar mechanic and a lot of the strategy ends up being setting up a Rube Goldberg machine and I’m looking for a bit more of a “big hammer go smash” experience if I’m playing a full sized game.

Thanks in advance for your responses to any of these questions/musings!
