Seen in Emerald QLD

Was photographing some birds in a pond (Emerald botanical garden) and suddenly this fella was maybe 1.5 meters from my feet, shook me out of my boots. Quite slender, about a meter long I'd say. It didn't seem to mind me at all, just slowly slithered past me

Mentioned to some people yo there's a snake here be careful, they commented like yeah there's a friendly snek chilling around here all the time, he's cool. But then again the next people passing me knew nothing about a snake around here so I feel like the first guys maybe were just pulling my leg lmao.

Anyways what is it? Seems a bit menacing

EDC in addition to a G9?

So I adore my G9 but lately I've been flirting with the idea of getting a smaller body to be my EDC. I was looking at some Fujis and Sonys but I quickly disregarded the idea cause that means getting into another whole system, I would love to be able to share lenses between my primary workhorse, the G9, and a smaller body.

I've been looking at GX85/GX9, quite a few available close by for about 700-750 AUD.

I know the dynamic range and overall image quality compared to the G9 is far lower on a GX85 for example, but would you guys still recommend getting one for 700 AUD, is it still worth it? I don't really care for any bells and whistles, I just want a compact carry. I do really appreciate an EVF though. There are a few EM5 mk2 bodies available as well for a bit cheaper, how are those compared to the GX lineup?

on a sidenote, Panasonic please make a modern GX:(
