I am having a very hard time finding these episodes after hours of searching. Any help would be appreciated!
This is for a 2026 Model Y on Software 2026.2.9.10 - no Spring Update yet.
Pros:
• No more tailgating/riding ass on the highway when on Hurry/Mad Max
• No more 17 to 20mph over the speed limit when on Hurry/Mad Max
• Feels way more responsive and makes quicker decisions, but this does bring some cons
• Summon is faster and actually kinda works now
Cons:
• Summon is still not 100% trustworthy. It rolled a stop and pulled out in front of a car in a Lowes parking lot
• Way too sensitive. It will hit the brakes hard for birds flying near by.
• Acceleration and braking feel really jerky
• Reacts poorly to cyclists - I had a situation on a 25 mph road where a biker turned into a separate bike lane with a barrier and FSD panicked and came to a full stop, thinking the biker was going to ride in front of me.
• Another time a biker in front of me signaled a left turn and moved into my lane and FSD tried to go around him by swerving left toward oncoming traffic. I had to take over and slam the brakes because it almost hit him.
• Lane choice is worse. In Standard/Chill, it will sometimes move into the left lane to try to pass cars, even when I have a right turn coming up in less than 0.5 miles.
• I have had to disengage and mark critical at least 10 times already. On 14.2 I almost never had to step in like this - except in highway situations with FSD tailgating
• EDIT: forgot to add this - Was at a stoplight, and FSD randomly put the car in reverse and started backing up for NO REASON. Thankfully there were no cars behind me. I took over immediately.
At this point I do not trust it off the highway. I just drive it myself most of the time because the times that it slammed on the brakes made my passengers very uncomfortable (my wife and my pup).
Overall, there are some improvements, but this version feels like a step backward in many ways.
I really hope they fix this soon, because now I would rather roll back to 14.2
