I just accepted an external job with a start date of 8/10. I am planning my exit, and wanting to know if my 2 weeks will be honored or if I will be “walked out”. As it stands, I’d like to take my remaining PTO from 7/7 to 7/17, and submit my resignation/2 weeks’ notice on 7/21. If they honor my 2 weeks, my last day will be in August, and I can stay on my insurance through 8/30.

I work in a field based role and have always received Meets or Exceeds ratings. The role I accepted is in the automotive industry, but not for a competitor.
