Impark downtown - issue with machines and paying
UPDATE: I went into their office this morning. They pulled the other copy of the ticket from their huge stack and tore it up in front of me. Apparently all their machines across western canada were affected.
Just a heads up to others. Today I parked downtown and went to pay at the impark machine (Lot 37 opposite Tim's on broad street). Everything was fine until after I removed my credit card. The machine kept saying "please wait" then eventually it went back to the beginning. I didnt get a receipt and presumed it must be out of paper. When I got to work I double checked my account and I saw the payment as pending (as usual) so I didnt think anything of it.
Fast forward to going back to my car tonight and found a note on my car which requests that I pay for the parking as there was an equipment malfunction. It was too late to call impark as they had closed.
All the other cars had these "tickets". So if you were one of these cars owners and attempted to pay at the machine, check your account first before paying it.
I will be calling into the office on my way to work tomorrow to sort it out. Just wanted to make others aware.
