What’s growing in my filter bowl?
I changed this filter about 2 months ago. Went to check on it this morning and there is this nasty black stuff in there. I’ve never seen it in there before. Any ideas?

Need advice on getting out of debt
My (27,m) take home pay is approximately $7100 per month.
Mortgage $2100
Car $550
Student loan 1 $1150
Student loan 2 $475
For a total combined minimum monthly payments of $4275.
All of these debts combined total up to right around $410,000
At the end up each month after living expenses are accounted for I have roughly $1400 left to throw at the principal of these loans.
I feel like I’m going to be digging myself out of this hole for the rest of my life .
