College/Team Gear Tips
Hi! I tried searching the sub and couldn’t find any posts covering this so I’m making my own. I’ve sold a few items in PoshMark over the last few months (think typical brands like Anthropologie, Princess Polly, Reformation) but, due to some life circumstances I have a decent stash of gear for a specific college that I’d like to try and sell.
Pros: most of the gear is NWT or in excellent condition, maybe worn twice, quite a few items are not/never were available for purchase to the public, everything is Nike
Cons: The main negative here is that we’re not talking about a school like Alabama, Ohio State, Miami, etc. It’s a decent size state school with name recognition, especially in sports, but not one that has people jumping on the bandwagon or buying gear just because they like the shirt/price. The school’s colors aren’t the most desirable also. Other negative is that the bulk of specifically womens gear is not desirable pieces, IE polos, quarter zips.
All that to ask if anyone has any experience with, or tips on selling items with such a specific target audience. I also wasn’t sure if I need to try and follow specific accounts since this is a departure from my normal postings and purchases. Thank you guys!
Other details: my prices are already pretty low since any dollar made is a dollar more than I spent; I have all items that aren’t specifically womens cut listed under the mens category but with a “style tag” of unisex
