Hey all! My gfs grandmother is giving us an acre of land to build a house on. Woohoo! Except even with a $300k piece of land, we’re worried a 124k/year gross income is STILL not even enough. We would only be able to afford MAYBE 1000 sqft stick build, so we’re looking at modular homes.

1st question: does anyone have experience with modular homes on cape? Any recommendations? We are considering Coastal Companies for the contractor.

2nd question: we were hoping to use some MassHousing grants/loans to our advantage but after speaking with a mortgage lender, they’re telling us that MassHousing programs only help with buying homes and not building homes.. does anyone have any ideas on programs that could help us?

We’ve been taking our dogs to Brewster animal hospital for a few years but the past few times, we haven’t had very good experiences. Nothing serious but they’re just kind of.. cold and only seem to want me to take my wallet out instead of truly caring for the dogs.

I’ve had 3 other vets before and I’ve always had great experiences but idk my gf and I both agree, we don’t really like this one.

So I’m looking for suggestions to see where you guys bring your pets! I’m in Harwich but we’ll drive like 30 min in either direction.
