heres some info about what im experiencing:
- iphone 14 pro
- iOS 26.3.1 (update currently available but been experiencing this for awhile)
- youtube fully updated
- premium account
- im in australia but watching videos from primarily UK and USA

sometimes my PiP works, but sometimes it doesnt. it’s not the account or even video settings as i can use PiP on a specific video and a few minutes later it wont work, on the same video.

i have a feeling it might be a time thing? like how long i have youtube playing on the screen before exiting, but it’s not consistent

also sometimes PiP works when i open another app via notifications, but sometimes it doesnt

sometimes it works better if i have my phone in portrait when exiting youtube but sometimes it doesnt work at all

any tips or anything im missing?
