Care insurance fraud

I recently had cataract surgery done for my mother at an eye hospital in Noida and subsequently submitted the documents for reimbursement via the Care Health insurance app. Out of the ₹15,000 claim, they only reimbursed about ₹2,000. Now, I have received a recovery notice from them claiming they paid that amount by mistake and are demanding the funds back, threatening legal action if I do not comply.

To make matters worse, I am receiving repeated calls from the hospital stating that the insurance company failed to pay them ₹8,000 from the original cashless approval. Months after the surgery, the hospital is now demanding that I pay this outstanding balance.

I am incredibly stressed and confused. As a patient, no one should have to go through this. It shouldn't be my responsibility to resolve disputes between the insurance company and the hospital. This is causing genuine mental harassment, and I am completely unsure of how to proceed.

Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
