🚨 11 KG of “Ganja”… But the Court Said It Wasn’t a Crime? 🤯

Imagine spending years fighting a criminal case—only for the Court to find that the seized substance wasn’t even covered under the law used to prosecute you.

That’s exactly what happened in a recent Jharkhand High Court case, where a 7-year conviction was overturned because the substance was identified as bhang, not ganja, making the NDPS Act inapplicable.

⚖️** Less**on: In law, one wrong classification can change an entire case.

Before you assume someone is guilty, remember: facts matter more than headlines.

At the age of 70, I have retired from public service... Now I am fighting alone for my own land boundaries.

I am a senior citizen who has retired from the Ministry of Defense. I have served the country all my life. But today, at the age of 70, I find myself struggling alone for the land my father bought in 1997 — and the biggest problem is that I don’t live there, so the local tehsildar and DySLR office don’t respond to my complaints. Even after repeated correspondence, they keep stalling on giving a response.

The stones marking my boundaries have been uprooted and thrown away. The fence has been broken. And the locals openly say — "You don’t live here, so we are going to take your plot. We have seized land like this before." But I am seeking a fair investigation from the government authorities.

The DySLR Muktaeinagar office has itself acknowledged in writing that there are no independent measurement records of personal plots in this area (Resettlement Phase 2), nor are there digital land records or ULPIN entries. Despite this, in 2020, the measurement of the plot next to mine was carried out without any legal notice to me — which is a clear violation of Section 135 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.

I only ask for this — that the Jalgaon District Collector and the Resettlement Department determine my boundaries based on the official map they have. That’s all I am saying. Being a senior citizen and not residing in the village, I am deliberately being subjected to mental harassment. I request that a high-level inquiry be conducted into this matter.

https://muktainagarvoice.github.io/

I just hope that some honest official will come forward to help. If any of you have had a similar experience or know the right direction, please do let me know.

New Update:

The Deputy Superintendent of Land Records (DySLR), Muktainagar, appears to be closing complaints raised through the District Collector's grievance system without addressing the actual issues raised.

Instead of providing specific information and documents requested in the complaints, the same PDF responses are repeatedly uploaded, and the grievances are marked as disposed.

My complaints relate to: • Alleged encroachment on Punarvasan Tappa 2 Plot No. 73

• Verification of Mojni Kramank 745 (Gut No. 74)

• Request for measurement records and official documents

• Clarification regarding disputed land measurements

Despite multiple representations, the original questions remain unanswered.

For the sake of transparency, I have uploaded all RTI applications, grievance documents, and related records online:

https://muktainagarvoice.github.io/rti.html

I respectfully request the concerned authorities to examine the actual grievances and provide document-based replies instead of repetitive responses.

Men commission in Parliament. Atleast now India men can expect Justice?

What do you think about this?

There has been talks for mens commission since ages. There were multiples cases where men being a victim but never got needed Justice, just because crime was done by a women.

I dont think this men commission can even bring Justice to India men in this country. We as Indian have only one motion towards women is a goddess, what ever she does is godly, even when she commits unlawful acts. As long as Peudo feminists are present, there will be no Justice for men. Thats why I dont this mens commission will bring any Justice for men who keeps on suffering from ages.

Need a Consumer Lawyer - Vehicle Dispute - Noida

I am looking for a lawyer with proven experience in Consumer Commission litigation against automobile manufacturers/dealerships, preferably someone who has handled cases against MG, Tata, Hyundai, Mahindra, Kia, etc.

Brief facts:

* Purchased a new MG Windsor EV Pro in November 2025.

* Factory-fitted dashcam supplied was defective from Day 1 despite repeated complaints.

* Vehicle suffered multiple scratches, dents and interior damage while at the authorised service centre.

* Workshop chemicals also damaged the interior plastic trims.

* Repeated assurances were given for months but issues remained unresolved.

* RC was significantly delayed, and I am pursuing compensation for the financial loss I suffered as a result.

* Multiple emails, photographs, videos, service records and documentary evidence are available.

* Seeking compensation for deficiency in service, vehicle damage, defective product, financial loss, mental harassment and litigation costs.

I am not looking for someone who merely sends a legal notice. I need an advocate who regularly appears before the Consumer Commission and is comfortable handling automobile consumer disputes from start to finish.

If anyone has personal experience or can recommend a competent lawyer in Noida, Delhi or Ghaziabad, please share details or DM me.

Thank you.

Can I ask a simple questions to you lawyers/advocates ?

I'm not a lawyer , last year shoe accident did not affected you ?

Every lawyer knows he was targeted cause he was from some community, people were finding every problem in him in his tenure , but I don't see any outrage on social media now . Now rarely a post circulates against a judge .

Why he did not take any strong action against thrower ? Do you think same action someone will take against a judge from other community ?

Last year action affected me a lot , bcoz it gives a message whether you become a cji you always be a sc to other Indians. A lawyer can throw shoe at constitutional post and nothing can be done cause a sc was sitting on it . People Celebrated that shit .

Co-owner refusing to sell jointly owned property after 12-year legal battle. What are our options?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some legal guidance regarding a jointly owned residential apartment in Mumbai.

The apartment is jointly owned by my mother, her elder sister, and her elder brother. The ownership of the property was under litigation for around 12 years, but the dispute has now been resolved, and the court has held that the property belongs to all three of them.

Throughout these years, my mother spent a significant amount of money pursuing the case.

Currently:

My mother’s elder brother (late 60s) is living in the apartment. He is not financially well off and is willing to sell the property.
Initially, all three co-owners had agreed to sell the apartment after the case was resolved.
However, my mother’s elder sister has now refused to sell. She has not provided any clear reason. From what we understand, her son is strongly influencing this decision.
The sister herself is also residing in another co-jointly owned property. Which mom and her brother has plan to sell off.
Ironically, both the sister and her son are also facing financial difficulties.

This has left my mother in a difficult position. She has already endured 12 years of litigation and does not want to get involved in another prolonged legal battle.

My questions are:

If one co-owner refuses to sell, what legal options are available to the other co-owners?
Can the other two co-owners force a sale or seek partition of the property?
Is there any practical solution that avoids years of fresh litigation?
Would mediation or any other legal mechanism be advisable in such a situation?

Retired Government Teacher served 12+ years under a High Court Stay but received NO salary and NO pension. Need legal strategy and service law advice.

Hello everyone,
I am looking for urgent legal guidance regarding a highly complex service matter involving a family member who is a retired government secondary school teacher. We need to understand the best course of action regarding over a decade of withheld salary and frozen retirement benefits.
The Timeline & Context:
Initial Dispute: Years ago, the employee was terminated from service on the grounds that the university from which they obtained their professional teaching qualification was declared unauthorized/unregistered and subsequently delisted.
High Court Intervention: The employee challenged this termination in the state High Court. The Court granted an interim stay on the termination order, resulting in their reinstatement.
Service Under Stay: Under the protection of the High Court’s stay order, the employee continuously performed their duties and served out their full tenure for over 12 years until their age of superannuation (retirement).
The Issue: Despite physically working and fulfilling all duties for those 12+ years, the State Education Department withheld 100% of their salary for that entire period. Furthermore, since their retirement, they have not received any pension or retiral benefits. The department has completely frozen all dues.
Our Core Dilemmas:

  1. Jurisdiction: Should this matter be pursued administratively through the state's apex Education Directorate, or is filing for final disposal/contempt/a fresh application in the High Court our only real recourse to resolve this deadlock?
  2. Precedents: Are there specific, established judgments regarding employees who did perform actual work under a court stay but were denied salary? How does service law typically view pension eligibility for service rendered under an interim court order when the individual successfully completed their tenure?
  3. Legal Representation: What specific type of legal specialist should we look for to handle this? (e.g., Service law experts, constitutional lawyers). If anyone has experience fighting government education departments on withheld retiral benefits or qualification disputes, what strategies worked for you?
Any insights on how to approach this legally would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

mom sent me a legal notice to vacate her flat

I'm a 28F living in Bangalore in a flat owned by my mother. I've been staying here for the last four years without paying rent, although I do pay the maintenance charges and have spent my own money on the interiors.

Recently, my mother sent me a legal notice asking me to vacate the flat. I intend to leave, but I wanted to know whether she can legally do this even though I've invested money in the property.

She has also sent a legal notice to my boyfriend demanding rent for the two years he stayed here, claiming he owes around 15 lakh. There was never any rent agreement. I believe this is being done to harass us and pressure me into ending my relationship, as my parents strongly oppose my boyfriend and don't want me to marry him.

On top of this, my parents want me to sign a declaration stating that if I marry my boyfriend against their wishes then

- They will not be responsible for me in any way.

- If anything happens to me in the future, they will have no liability.

- If my boyfriend or his family ever demand money for any rituals or expenses, my parents will have no obligation to pay anything.

- They will disown me if I choose to marry him against their wishes.

I feel this declaration is being used purely as a means of pressuring me into breaking up with my boyfriend.

Does the money I spent on interiors give me any legal rights or claim? And Can my mother legally recover two years' rent from my boyfriend when there was never any rent agreement?

I'm planning to consult a lawyer, but I'd appreciate some general legal guidance before I do.

Why is Alia Bhatt trolled so much online? And can she take legal action?

From being called a “nepo kid” to facing constant criticism over her looks, acting, and personal life, Alia Bhatt remains one of the internet’s biggest targets. But where does criticism end and cyberbullying begin?

In India, everyone has the right to express opinions—but targeted harassment, defamation, abusive content, threats, or fake allegations can cross legal boundaries. Public figures don’t lose their legal rights just because they’re famous.

Debate: Should celebrities simply “ignore the trolls,” or should they start taking stronger legal action against online abuse?

Siya Goyal Case: Which is better, police custody or Judicial Custody?

Been thinking a lot about the whole good vs bad, devil vs angel, right vs wrong angle in the Siya Goyal case.

We often talk about morality, guilt, and “doing the right thing,” but Siya Goyal doesn’t seem to fit that expected picture at all. From the outside, she appears confident about what she has done, almost as if she’s enjoying the spotlight and playing with the media narrative rather than showing fear or remorse.

Now that she has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody, it got me wondering: in a case like this, which is actually harder on the accused — police custody or judicial custody?

My own sense is that judicial custody at least opens up the possibility of bail and may be less immediately intense than police custody. But psychologically, socially, and legally, which one tends to weigh more heavily on someone in her position?

Natural birth at home or medical negligence? Where should the law draw the line?

A 32-year-old woman in Tamil Nadu reportedly died from excessive blood loss after delivering her baby at home, with investigators looking into whether the family relied on YouTube videos instead of professional medical care.

This raises a difficult legal question: if someone discourages or replaces necessary medical treatment with unverified advice, should there be legal accountability? At what point does personal choice become criminal negligence-especially when it results in a preventable death?

Should India have stricter laws against spreading dangerous medical misinformation or promoting unsafe childbirth practices without medical qualifications?
Curious to hear your thoughts.

Where should the law draw the line between personal freedom and public safety?

Clout is Temporary. Criminal Charges Aren’t.

Angela and Ivan climbing the Empire State Building may have earned them millions of views-but stunts like these can also lead to trespassing, public endangerment, and other legal consequences.

Going viral doesn’t put you above the law. Every “epic” stunt comes with real legal risks.

Would you risk a criminal record for internet fame?
