Legal notice from care health insurance

I recently had cataract surgery done for my mother at an eye hospital in Noida and subsequently submitted the documents for reimbursement via the Care Health insurance app. Out of the ₹15,000 claim, they only reimbursed about ₹2,000. Now, I have received a recovery notice from them claiming they paid that amount by mistake and are demanding the funds back, threatening legal action if I do not comply.

To make matters worse, I am receiving repeated calls from the hospital stating that the insurance company failed to pay them ₹8,000 from the original cashless approval. Months after the surgery, the hospital is now demanding that I pay this outstanding balance.

I am incredibly stressed and confused. As a patient, no one should have to go through this. It shouldn't be my responsibility to resolve disputes between the insurance company and the hospital. This is causing genuine mental harassment, and I am completely unsure of how to proceed.

Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

What the f*ck is this T&C

Visited Sunny Trade Mall (New Atish Market) last night at 10:40 PM and got handed this slip by "Kasana Services". Please look at the absolute audacity of Rule 5 and Rule 7 combined:

Rule 5: "Parking only for 11.00 am to 11.00 pm no responsibility of vehicle."

Rule 7: "PARKING AT OWNER'S RISK."

So, let me get this straight:

During the day (11 AM - 11 PM), it's "Owner's Risk" (Rule 7). And the exact second the clock strikes 11:01 PM, they double-down and officially declare "No responsibility of vehicle" (Rule 5).

Why am I even paying the ₹10 fee? They’ve literally covered all their bases to make sure that whether it's day or night, if your bike gets scratched, stolen, or swallowed by a black hole, they can just point at this tiny yellow piece of paper and walk away.

The funniest part is that consumer courts in India have repeatedly ruled that these "Owner's Risk" clauses are completely illegal if you're paying a fee. But contractors keep printing them anyway just to bully people out of complaining.

Has anyone else encountered these double-liability-shield around Jaipur?

Does this capture the exact hypocrisy you were looking at?

So ,lawyers tell me have i been wrongfully forced into compromising.

A lady without any license driving her activa alone, broke my car’s bumper standing in front of my house (ramed into it) . They told me that it was them who broke the car’s bumper standing. Company said bumper needs to be replaced and fender bends and scratches need to be repainted estimate was for ₹13k but they refused paying for it instead they said they will pay me the file charges for insurance or get it fixed outside the company. I didn’t want to take a insurance and wanted them to pay cash to company to fix my car but when they refused to do that , police was called by me and after police came they told me to take insurance and said they will nor tell them to pay any money after that they told me to call the other party and after calling them they didnt check her license even after me telling them they dont have a licence and broke my bumper. They got angry at me. And refused to talk to anyone i had on a call (my lawyer, known police).they told me to take ₹5k from them and compromise but my mother said that it pathetic and it will be a “bheek “ to take that so the police said to tell 112 that tell them the both party compromised. That happened and now i am 13k loss just for parking my car in a spot and the that lady laughed at us and went home. I think the fact that the police and the auntie was Haryanvi had something to do with it . But i m a sardar form Ambala technically Haryanvi too. 1 day prior to calling police we told them we will call them.

Nine Years Homeless After Paying in Full - RERA Forces Housing Board to Pay Rs. 15.8 Lakh

A homebuyer finally got justice after waiting nine long years for her government-backed affordable housing unit. The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has ordered the Housing Board to refund the full amount she paid, along with interest.

Deepti Parekh booked her flat under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Housing Scheme. She paid the full Rs. 8.5 lakh by 2018, expecting to move in by 2019. Instead, she kept paying rent while still servicing her housing loan. The Housing Board repeatedly promised alternatives, but nothing was handed over.

The Housing Board blamed technical and financial problems for the delay. They argued that some blocks weren’t financially viable and that Parekh had opportunities to move into other flats. RERA rejected these excuses, ruling that she was entitled to a full refund plus interest. The total amount due came to Rs. 15.84 lakh, to be paid within 30 days.

This ruling is a big win for homebuyers stuck in delayed government housing projects. It shows that even state authorities cannot ignore the rights of buyers. Prolonged delays aren’t just frustrating-they can now be legally challenged, with full refunds and interest on the line.

India Post Lost Rs.60,000 Pashmina Parcel. Consumer Court Hits Back Hard

A woman running an online fashion business sent three expensive pashmina shawls through the postal department. The parcel was worth Rs.60,000. But the package never reached the customer. After months of running from office to office, she finally took the matter to the Consumer Court.

The postal department tried to avoid responsibility. Officials argued that the parcel was not insured and the exact value of the items was not disclosed at the time of booking. They also claimed the department cannot be held responsible for lost parcels during transit.

But the Consumer Court did not accept these excuses. Records from the postal department itself showed the parcel was marked as “item lost.” The Commission said once a customer pays for a postal service, the department has a duty to deliver the package safely. Losing the parcel clearly amounted to poor service.

The Court ordered compensation for the business owner and also awarded damages for the mental stress and harassment caused.

The case is now sparking debate online. Should government postal services be held fully accountable for lost parcels? Or should customers always buy insurance for valuable shipments?

What do you think?

Suggestion on buying a plot without registration

There is a situation
We are planning to buy a plot
But this guy owns an agricultural land he is yet to convert it to plots
He has no money for the approvals
So what he is doing is he is selling part of the land in the size of plots
But he will sign only sale agreement
Only after 6 months after the approval he will dk the registration
I have to pay the half amount of plot now itself
He is doing this bcs he doesn’t have money for the Approval and plot initiatives
Shall i trust this?
We are getting in discounted rate and we are very much keen on buying this area after he put plot but then the rate will be higher.
About this guy: we have common friend, he is actually lower middle class, this is his ancestral property which now values in crores, so it is trustable when he says he has no money for approval.
My question is if this guy cheats/doesnt get approval is it possible to get the money? Will i have any problem ?

Why is there a sudden massive craze for LLB in India? Is the hype about "Judiciary Power & Money" actually real?

I’ve noticed a huge surge lately in people rushing to do an LLB, with almost all of them aiming to become judges.

My main question is about the real intent behind this trend: Is this sudden obsession with the judiciary actually about the massive money, power, and authority that comes with being a judge, or is the reality completely different?

To anyone in the field: What is the ground reality of the power and financial payoff?

Paid Rs 1.8 Crore, Waited 10 Years: RERA Orders Builder To Pay 10.80% Annual Interest

After waiting more than 10 years for their dream homes, two homebuyers in Gurugram have finally scored a major victory against a builder accused of endless delays. Haryana RERA has ordered the developer of the Capital Gateway project in Sector 111 to pay 10.80% annual interest on the buyers’ money for the delayed possession. Each buyer had already paid over Rs 1.8 crore for their flats.

The case exposes the frustration many homebuyers face after investing their life savings into under-construction projects. The buyers claimed the builder kept delaying the project while also increasing the flat size without approval and demanding extra money. What made the case worse was that the builder reportedly did not even appear before HRERA despite repeated notices.

The authority came down strongly on the developer and said the project should have been delivered years ago. HRERA directed the builder to pay interest from June 2015 until possession is offered, clear all pending dues within 90 days, and also pay Rs 50,000 towards legal costs. The ruling is being seen as a strong warning to builders who continue to delay projects while buyers suffer financially and emotionally.

This order has once again raised a big question. Why are homebuyers forced to fight for years to get what was promised to them? Should stricter action be taken against delayed housing projects and non-compliant builders? Share your thoughts.

Is pursuing LL.M. from NLU Jodhpur worth it for career opportunities?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2026 law graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia and I recently got admission to National Law University Jodhpur for LL.M.

I wanted honest opinions from people who know about NLUJ’s LL.M. program, especially in fields like IPR, Technology Law, Corporate Law, etc.

My main concern is placements and career opportunities after LL.M.

Does an LL.M. from NLUJ actually help in getting good jobs?

Are tech companies/corporates/openings in legal-tech or policy accessible after this degree?

How are the placements for LL.M. students specifically (not UG)?

Is it worth spending one year there if my goal is employability and not litigation/academia?

I’ve seen mixed opinions online — some say NLU brand and networking help a lot, while others say LL.M. placements in India are limited unless you already have experience.

Would really appreciate honest guidance from alumni, recruiters, or current students.

Thanks!

‘If judges are threatened to remain silent to the liking of politically powerful persons, justice itself may become a casualty’: Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma initiates criminal contempt proceedings against Kejriwal, Sisodia and other AAP leaders

While initiating criminal contempt proceedings against Kejriwal and other AAP leaders for allegedly orchestrating a social media campaign to vilify and intimidate the presiding judge, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma transferred the excise policy case to the Chief Justice for reassignment — clarifying that the transfer was not an acceptance of recusal, which she continues to reject.

3-year-old kindergarten girl raped on her first day in school. Suspect granted bail by court.

A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 57-year-old staff member inside a private school in west Delhi's Janakpuri area, police said on Friday.
The incident came to light on May 1 when the victim's mother filed a complaint at Janakpuri police station, alleging that her daughter was sexually assaulted during school hours by the accused.

According to the complaint, the child had gone to the school on April 30, the second day after her admission.

After returning home, she complained of pain. When questioned by her mother, the girl said that she was taken to an isolated area in the school, where the man allegedly assaulted her.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case under section 64(1) (punishment for rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Police said the child identified the accused, following which the 57-year-old school caretaker was arrested on May 1. He was later produced before a court and sent to judicial custody.

However, he was granted bail by a court in Dwaraka on May 7 despite strong opposition from the prosecution. Police said they are checking CCTV footage on the school premises.

Meanwhile, the girl's mother alleged that no proper action was taken immediately after the case was reported. She also said that a school teacher was involved and he was questioned during the police investigation.
She further alleged that the child and family were made to wait for several hours at the police station during the inquiry.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, in a statement, strongly criticised the granting of bail to the 57-year-old caretaker.

He also echoed the mother's allegations, claiming that the *DCP West threatened the family members instead of cooperating with them.*

*"Imagine a child being admitted to nursery in a private school and returning home on the very first day, only for the parents to discover that a 57-year-old caretaker raped the child,"* he said.

However, police countered the allegations made by the mother and Bharadwaj.
A statement by the office of DCP (West) *Vichitra Veer* said the action was taken immediately after the girl was medically examined.
"During the investigation, the accused was arrested after identification by the victim on the same day, promptly. Statement of the victim was also recorded before the court, and relevant CCTV/DVR footage along with other exhibits were seized as per law," the statement said.

It said the investigation was conducted in a fair, professional and impartial manner based on scientific evidence, forensic examination, witnesses' statements and the merits of the case.

"Certain media reports alleging harassment or intimidation by police officials are false, baseless and contrary to the actual facts of the investigation.

The complainant and the girl were provided a comfortable, child-friendly environment during the inquiry proceedings and were called only for lawful inquiry and counselling purposes, considering the sensitivity of the matter," the statement read.

"DCP West has never met the parents of the victim, as alleged on the contrary," it read.

*The statement further said the detailed bail order passed by the court is being examined, and further legal remedies, as per law, are under consideration.*
